How disturBing will WiiU adjustment be??? Are we again looking at sold numbers that exceed shipping?

Well at the end of Sept, shipments were 7.3m, last holiday they shipped 1.95m, if they ship the same amount this holiday that would be 9.25m shipped. It's very possible they shipped more this holiday by a bit, maybe 2.2 million which would put shipments at 9.5m. Next week's numbers will put it around 8.95m so anywhere from 300-550k on store shelves. 300k seems a bit low but 550k sounds about right. We should have a good idea in a couple weeks when Nintendo reveals shipment data.

You are probably right, but the same way VGC had been undertracking PS4 at all the points we got reports, just to be trolled by an overtrack... WiiU and 3DS have been overtracked in previous reports, so maybe we have undertracked by now?

I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see 3DS/Wii U under/overtracked by a little bit, either way tho I think they are both close enough to actual sales for it not to be a big deal, nothing like the 1 million+ PS4 was overtracked. I'm looking forward to seeing Nintendo's quarterly shipments/earnings, less than 3 weeks I believe.

Ouch! PS4, 3DS good (but not so good for market leaders), XBOne decent, but in the end rather disappointing Xmas week sales overall.

I'd say the PS4 did relatively well considering its software (which isn't bad, but nothing Earth-shattering - which was expected for its first year). It's also ahead of the PS2 in the same time frame, which has to be noted.

Can't speak for the 3DS. I'd have to see what the DS did in the same time frame.

Yes, but I expected at least one of the weeks ending 20 and 27 Dec, not both, to reach 1M, considering the excellent YTD performance, and also considering that even adjusted down it's already exceed my old prediction made in Jan 2014, IIRC I expected LTD sales to be at 16 or 16.5M by the end of 2014 (I thought it could have done more, but tht Sony would have ramped up production after Xmas 2014 to enjoy components price drop and maximise profits sacrificing some sales in the initial period to recoup them all later, with the HW too probably already profitable even after a first price cut).

Not even VGC can under/overtrack WiiU by 1M =] that would either mean WiiU sold close to 0 or over 2M, both unlikely... For 3DS they have a cumulative overtrack, don't they? So maybe something in the range of 300k?

Made this quick pie chart for this weeks marketshare.

That is before adjustments to down WiiU and X1 numbers... PS4 will be right only if because VGC already knows end numbers.

Just had a thought about Sony and its studios: when will Polyphony Digital release again updated official sales numbers? Current ones are more than 21 months old now.

Look at the PS4 software beast! Some overtracking of the whole library though after Sony's announcement but just look at GTAV sales! Three 5m sellers now on PS4.

Some overtracking is putting it pretty lightly. The official announcement said 81.8 million as of January 3rd (including digital), vgchartz is at 82.9 as of December 27th, so that's an almost guaranteed overtrackment of at least 10 million. Also and that is pretty important, the press release states that 17.8 million games were sold between Nov. 23rd to Jan.3, vgchartz has the number at 26.7 million with one less week.

Since COD and GTA V were without question the biggest sellers on PS4 this holiday season, it is also likely that they were the biggest victims of overtrackment, so I wouldn't be surprised if neither of those titles has hit 5 million yet, maybe FIFA hasn't either.

So huge?I didn't expect you to say that! Why so much?

I thought that obviously they are heavily ovetracked in the row, because some games in the row  have sales near to those of NA and Eu and the attach rate is way bigger in the row than in Na and Eu,and it shouldn't be!Generally sales in the row are excessively high or too early to be that high!

However, are you sure that this is so much?10m means that the games aren't only overtracked in the row as I was believing!

So is China tracked for the X1 in these numbers? Is it just thrown in under Global? Is the X1 doing ok in China or is it struggling?
