Monster sales for the top PS4 titles. PS3 taking the over all software spot too so it's games are having serious legs.

Yep.  PS4 is really moving tons of Software.  I'm impressed by the GTAV cumulative figures on PS4.

3DS hit 50m! That's excellent!

PS4 & XB1 did really great this holiday season as well, very impressive.

Not quite, it will hit 50m next week

Look at the PS4 software beast! Some overtracking of the whole library though after Sony's announcement but just look at GTAV sales! Three 5m sellers now on PS4.

3DS 724,174 (-3%) 49,975,281

Close enough...

Besides, it rounds up to 50m on the front page which is the one most people look at.

You're right but I do the same with games and stuff. They didn't pass 1m until they pass 1,000,000 sales. Sure, it's basically 50m but not quite. Also, I expect it to be adjusted down anyway after Nintendo's Q3 results so we'll likely get another 50m+ thread for it down the line

Some overtracking is putting it pretty lightly. The official announcement said 81.8 million as of January 3rd (including digital), vgchartz is at 82.9 as of December 27th, so that's an almost guaranteed overtrackment of at least 10 million. Also and that is pretty important, the press release states that 17.8 million games were sold between Nov. 23rd to Jan.3, vgchartz has the number at 26.7 million with one less week.

Since COD and GTA V were without question the biggest sellers on PS4 this holiday season, it is also likely that they were the biggest victims of overtrackment, so I wouldn't be surprised if neither of those titles has hit 5 million yet, maybe FIFA hasn't either.

A fair bit of the software over tracking comes from ROW IMO, and I've been banging on about this for a while now, with a good 3mill just between Cod, Fifa, GTA, Destiny, Watch Dogs. COD ROW is overtracked by 400-500k, putting it at 860-960k in ROW, Fifa I'd say 600-700k putting it at 1.1m-1.2m ROW, GTA 400-500k, putting it at 810-910k, Destiny 250-300k, putting it at 640-690k, WD 250-300k, putting it at 570-620k. With the final 700k overtracked spread mostly between Ass Creed, TLOU and Far Cry 4, and then some for other games like ME:SOM, Driveclub and Infamous.

How disturBing will WiiU adjustment be??? Are we again looking at sold numbers that exceed shipping?

Hopefully Driveclub and LBP3 aren't too overtracked. FIFA, CoD, Destiny, stuff like that I hope make up the vast majority of it

Ouch! PS4, 3DS good (but not so good for market leaders), XBOne decent, but in the end rather disappointing Xmas week sales overall.
