Why are Nyko accessories always so ugly?

Not all Nyko accessories... I still love the look of my Nyko Vita charging cradle / speaker stand:

Oh so its just a drive enclosure without an actual hard drive in it... Almost shat my pants cause I thought it was 2TB for $40

Yeah, I got super excited there for a second too... As it is... This is an option to make you ps4 look dumb for about the same price as upgrading normally...

Even if you use this it won't help you much at all.

The enclosure connects the 3.5" drive as an external USB drive so you can't use it to install games or downloaded movies protected movies on it. But if you want to use your PS4 as a media center and load it with movies and music you can use it for that.

Wrong.  This Nyko device does exactly what you can already do yourself.  All it does is run a pass through from where the PS4 hard drive connects now, to a hard drive of your choice on the outside of the device.  Installnig games and whatever will work fine.  I do it now on my PS4 (3TB - from a 3.5 drive using the method described above).

All the Nyko device does it make it look a bit neater, thats all.

All the Nyko drive is doing, is what you can do yourself, look here:

Nyko Data Bank.

It's essentially a housing for a PC hard drive that sits on top of your PS4.

Artical about it on IGN says that the price range is expected to be around $30-$40.

I think I want one.

Along some of the comments there on IGN, some have stated that they could find a 2TB 2.5" HDD cheaper than to buy this encloser AND a 2TB 3.5" HDD.

I'll stick with the 2.5" HDD while keeping the PS4 from not looking ugly.

There's one by Seagate subsidary Samsung hdd it's the only 2TB 2.5" HDD that can fit in the PS4 and it's ending production soon (the Seagate branded version has already been discontinued) or already has due to lack of demand as high end laptops and enterprise users are going SSD.

My PS4 will hate me for doing this to it

I stand corrected, the first article I read bout this stated it conenct to the PS4 via USB and is just an externally connected USB drive.
