Nyko Data Bank.

It's essentially a housing for a PC hard drive that sits on top of your PS4.

Artical about it on IGN says that the price range is expected to be around $30-$40.

Oh so its just a drive enclosure without an actual hard drive in it... Almost shat my pants cause I thought it was 2TB for $40

I think there are cheaper ways to make your ps4 super ugly

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Sata data extension cable, any 3.5 inch 2TB hard drive + enclosure. Job done. This nyko thing isnt required.

Along some of the comments there on IGN, some have stated that they could find a 2TB 2.5" HDD cheaper than to buy this encloser AND a 2TB 3.5" HDD.

I'll stick with the 2.5" HDD while keeping the PS4 from not looking ugly.

The price difference between a 2TB HDD in 2.5'' and 3.5'' is ~50 $/€... so this Nyko case + 3.5'' HDD will cost almost as much as an officially supported 2.5'' HDD without case.

The 3.5'' HDD probably needs more power (extra power brick?) and you have no guarantee that it will work after the next PS4 firmware updates.

As mentioned above you REALLY dont need this Nyko thing. Its a total waste of money!

Grab yourself a Sata Data extension cable for a couple of quid (dollars) and take your PS4 Hard drive out. Connect the cable. Run the cable out the back of the PS4 (yes, the HD lid and case will clip back comfortably even with tiny cable coming out the back of the PS4 and connect it to a Hard drive extension case which has a Sata connection. Job done at the fraction of the cost and nothing unsightly sitting atop your PS4.

Brahs, but what if you already own a 3.5 2TB HDD.. Oh snap mind blown.

CPU: Ryzen 7950X
GPU: MSI 4090 SUPRIM X 24G

RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB DDR5

Even if you use this it won't help you much at all.

The enclosure connects the 3.5" drive as an external USB drive so you can't use it to install games or downloaded movies protected movies on it. But if you want to use your PS4 as a media center and load it with movies and music you can use it for that.

I just bought a 2TB external Seagate drive, took out the HDD and put it in my PS4... Ironically the drive was far better than the stock 500GB one included! The external only cost me £60 too
