Well it is another 7-8 weeks before the year is finished. 22th February the PS4 released.

March April we can expect some crazy numbers for PS4.

The PS4 is not too far behind the PS3 despite not having games that appeal to the Japanese audience, which is kinda impressive. With a much more appealing lineup this year, the PS4 should definitely do better than last year.

Looks like it will reach 2 million first... PS3 had better weekly numbers after launch but slow down in the second year... PS4 looks like to trend the opposite with the second year being better than first (in terms of software at least).

PS3 sold 1,180,000 units in the next full year at this point in time. PS4 would need to sell 1.4m to catch up.

Actually, I find this interesting so I'm going to open a new thread about this.

PS3 sold 1.2 million in 2007 and 1 million in 2008 in Japan. I think PS4 will fly past when it gets some proper games. Alligned launch sales is a little hard to compare though since PS4 launched in March. But i expect PS4 to easily do more than 1.2 million in 2015.
