Forums - Movies & TV - Why are there tons of movies about crappy superheros coming out?

Suicide Squad could potentially work out as Guardians of the Galaxy did. But with so many nameless hero movies coming between now and 2020; there's going to be superhero movie fatigue.

The Flash (He goes fast, yay?), Aquaman (he can talk to fish!), Shazam (Is generic hero #infinity), Cyborg (Would work in Teen Titans film), and Green Lantern (flopped in 2011 already)

Ant-Man (He gets small!), Doctor Strange (Who?), Sinister Six (Spider-Man villains, really?), Captain Marvel (Which one?), Inhumans (X-Men 2.0?)

because of capitalism, if one super hero movie succeeds the others should too in their logic

Yeah, I never understood how they felt a need for making so many Batman movies.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I agree, all I'm going to see is the new x men and avengers 2 and probably batman vs superman, the rest can dissappear

Because super hero movies = Big bucks at the Box Office. Just look at HANCOCK with Will Smith... a total invention of Hollywood and it made tons of money... It's been like this since Spider Man 1.

Edit: They can completely SUCK too (Hancock wasn't that good, Super Man Returns was bad and Man of Steel was "meh") but that didn't stop loads of people from seeing it. People really have to stop feeding the beast (I'm no expection).

Cause they want more money and are running out of ideas for movies

So let me get this straight...you people aren't happy at all that these niche superheroes that we used to see only on printed paper are now dazzling everyone in the big screen?

Kids used to be labeled dorks/geek/nerd for knowing these superheroes. Not anymore.

Besides, most of these superhero films are actually genre films with a spandex-laden protagonist.

Yeah, now these superhero movies pander to the same crowd that went to see the fourth Transformers. That's awesome.

Sigh...

All of those heroes have potential to be very awesome.

If this site still allowed friggin' video embedding. Ugh, here
