Forums - Gaming Discussion - Does The Division Look To Disappoint? Graphics Downgrading?

slightly better than far cry 4 ps4 graphics is what we should get.

it's a pity the game prob won't hit the graphic fidelity of say metro: Redux on PS4. It's linear but it's very similar setting and metro pulled off some pretty big open areas.

I was never fond on The Division and i think it will be a not-so-good game, but at the same time i also don't like the mentality of ''oh graphics have been downgraded, shit game, no buy'' - which is not new btw and i've seen especially this gen, even with Wii U games! - which im not implying anyone here has, but his thread relates, why do people even do this to themselves? unrealistic standards fueled by the companies of course that in the end do more harm than good

Graphics dont make a game for me, I would just be more interested in a smaller more focused world where there are more interesting and memorable locations, as opposed to a gigantic open world with much reused assests and filler content. My problem is that Ubisoft open world games have gotten to be some of the most repetitive grindy formulas. If it comes out like that, i wouldnt even waste my time to play it even if it was free.

It will be very interesting to see what happens with this game. Ubisoft needs some goodwill towards fans in a big way and the easiest way to do that is to really deliver on a quality game. I am just not sure The Division can be that game.

Like the crew it will be full of microtransactions and this drives me away.

I'm interested in The Division. It looks like Army of Two but with Borderlands random weapon concept.

Is Ubisoft going to downgrade the graphics though? Of course they are. They've already downgraded them in the latest gameplay video shown at the Xbox One E3 and I guarantee they'll downgrade them further still. Last gen there were a lot of downgrades, why would this gen be any different.

Knowing Ubisoft it'll probably get downgraded both in terms of visuals and actual gameplay, they even said they wanted to properly "tailor" the game to each platform's strengths, which means the PC version should be the best version by their logic (and by default in general) and we know how much Ubisoft cares about the ever growing PC market...

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

Well its a ubisoft title, its very likely to be far cry 4 in the city... Mixed with assassins creed (third person) ... If it carries more from assassins creed/watch dogs, it will disappoint...  I think far. Cry 4 was fine on all platforms when it shipped, so everything is possible.

I'm not worried one bit about the game's technical delivery. If both Driveclub and The Order: 1886 are anything to go by the game will end up just been fine on that front ...

Obsessing over Ubisoft doesn't get us anything so why not just drop the hate mass and let them release the game in peace ? ...

The game looks amazing on all fronts as far as I'm aware but I condemn it for the fact that it's online only which annoy's me ...

I just don't get exited anymore about any ubi game when it comes to graphics, because is is very likely it'll be downgraded, even on PC...

Let's just hope that modders fix the graphics to the way they were meant to be in the first place.
