I've been here a couple of months now, but I think I've made my decision: This is probably my favorite internet forum out of all the ones I've used over the years. I'll be honest though: From a technical standpoint (website features, etc) it's not the greatest. But to me, a forum is defined by the people who use it. And there's 2 main reasons why this is probably my favorite forum.
1: Maturity
Sure, it's the internet, and "maturity" isn't really something that exists on it. But compared to other forums I've used, everyone here is a lot more mature. Many gaming-related forums are flooded with "PS4/Xbox/Wii U/PC sucks!" kids. But this forum has a lot fewer than most others I've used. I greatly appreciate how we can have reasonable conversations here.
2: Diversity
I love the diversity of people here! Many forums intentionally cut up their community by region. Or, I go into a game-specific forum (which is great for talking about that particular game, but I haven't really found a good "go-to" forum until now). Here, there's different people from many different countries around the world all commenting together. Maybe that's not a big deal to some, but I like the global representation of everyone here.
So I hope to stay for quite a while! I don't comment too much anymore (I think I made 100 posts in my first 3 or 4 days here!) due to "real-life" but I hope we can get to know each other as time progresses.
