I have not insulted anyone. Nor was anyone attacked. I was pointing out the flawed logic many have held by many thinking the price would magically stay the same throughout. 

 

Shock is an exaggeration, yes. However no one at all should have expected it to stay the price it was given what MS had said earlier.  

There wasn't a need for you to say: "Too many fucking idiots live in this world...They said it was going to happen." Why post that if it wasn't meant for anyone here? And beyond that, it doesn't make people "idiots" for having a belief that was plausible, even if it was unlikely.

Just felt like saying it XD gotta test the waters somewhere. Anyway, people aren't idiots for thinking it will eventually happen ( as it inevitably will go down in price someday). The ones who I would consider it such are those who whole heartedly believed it would stay the same price as it is now despite the exact opposite being stated by the direct source -which gets annoying after you see hundreds of people thinking it to stay $349 or creating loopholes as to why it will stay. Not just this website but many others. The comment was more of a general distaste of many falsely held beliefs from many various sources. 

Yea, just like they said Xbone was built around Kinect and they'd never unbundle it, right? With MS, just because it's coming from the direct source doesn't necessarily make it true. They even did it with Tomb Raider, saying it was exclusive before finally coming out and saying that the exclusivity "has a duration". 

And, like it or not, there still exists a "loophole". The press release saying that the price was going up only specifically mentioned the AC Bundles (original announcement was for all Xbones). Look anywhere for an Xbone standalone. You won't find it. Only AC Bundles. And we know how MS likes to play with words (like the Halo 5 thing). So it's perfectly possible to re-introduce the vanilla Xbone at $349 because it is not an AC Bundle. The press release says "The holidays are almost over, but there’s still time to take advantage of the special, limited-time pricing of $50 off the Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Unity Bundle and Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Unity Bundle with Kinect."

Don't say that it's "annoying" that people think they will create loopholes. With that announcement, they have made a loophole and they are known for exploiting loopholes. So, sorry if MSs track record is an inconvenience to you

If MS think of doing the same thing again for next holidays, it will not work in their advantage. PS4 will have 2 years in the market and will be able to match price with MS unless they go for $300 + multiple games.

I think the talk is more on the initial limited cut that was announced as limited time for holidays, not necessarily this saying it was to end... And in fact it ended not only for UC bundle, but maybe we will see Vanilla for 350.

Oh, 100%.  Sony will probably cut around the same time, which will definitely see a better effect from a permenant cut to $349.

Not to mention, Microsoft can only cut the price so much. There is a limit as to how low MS is willing to go or otherwise, they're basically giving it away nearly for free.

Edit: I can't find the PS4 + free game offer on amazon anymore. Are there still 399 PS4 bundles? If not that makes the X1 bundle look even better.
