50 in. 1080p, Panny plasma (2010)
I have a samsung 4k 28inch

I have a Sony Bravia KLV-32T400A Granted it's on the old side now, but I have never had any problems with picture quality. Pictures are quite well with blu-ray and games. I'm looking to upgrade my TV to a smart TV soon anyway. The lack of IMDB (x1) and USB (none) ports is getting to me...
I have a model about 2 years older of this 47" LG 3D Smart Tv:

Graphics look awesome. Have it set to 120 HZ since very few things seem to have an output of 240HZ, and things seem to "jump" when i had it in 240.
The best TV I have for gaming is my 40" Sharp Quattron. Having the fourth pixel color added (yellow) really makes the screen pop and give it a ton more vibrancy. You do have to calibrate it properly to reduce some of the over-saturation that the default settings have though. It also has input auto detect on it so it automatically switches sources when a system is turned on. It really is a great TV. I've had for four years now and it blows away my newer flat screens.
47" Sony W802 as main gaming tv in bonus room and Sony 65" 4K 850B in the living room to play PS4 through PSTV.

Ooo, I'm jelly! Though I still would have probably went with the S series as it was the more affordable option... the 50"1080p model was around $700 at some places before they retired it. I remember the VT series being closer to a grand or more. |
In the latest series the ST was very good value and as good as the VT of 1-2 generations ago, but I have mine in a fairly bright room so the anti-reflective layer in the VT was nearly necessary for me.
BTW damn you Americans and your cheap prices :P I got my 55" VT for a 'bargain'. It had just been released and I managed to score 25% off, only cost me $2500.......
Samsung 65" LED TV model UN65F8000. That series had the best PQ of any LED TV in 2013 IMO.
I had a Samsung plasma before, PQ was excellent to begin with but the screen degraded badly in less than one year, and after getting the screen replaced the same thing happened with the replacement screen, so I didn't trust plasma anymore.
