I'm undecided on the DLC proposal, but I do think it's overpriced. People seem to think that the fact that it's lower than average retail at all makes it all fine, but I like to weigh a game's price versus content. Also a popular argument is that some full games are about as long as this one. To that I'll just say that not all of us think that spending so much on such a game is a wise choice.

$20 would have been good. $30 wouldn't have been ideal, but not terrible either. $40 is ridiculous. 2/3 retail price for a game that's half the length of a short game, and more like a quarter the length of an average game. If it was the most mind-blowingly awesome game that had ever been released I might be more okay with that, but you're just tottering around a tiny space solving incredibly easy puzzles. It's cute and decently fun, but I think everyone singing the game's praises is exaggerating. If the Wii U was in a better place I don't think this would have gotten much attention at all.

Ohhhhhh I said it.

So you didn´t play it, right?

I'll admit I don't own it, but I've played a little and I've watched a lot.  A lot of people will say that renders my argument invalid, but ehhhhh...  Don't care.

The average game is four times longer than CT? Uh, no.

The average game isn't 20-something hours?  Dang, people really do like short-ass games, don't they?  I guess that's an average for the games I play, at least.  XD

At the very least though it's half the length for 2/3 the price.  And basically every $10 or $15 download game I've ever played got me more play time than CT's average.  Regardless of the specific math behind it, I just don't feel it's worth the price.

$40 is offensively overpriced for that game. $20 is ideal. Anything more is frankly a ripoff.

I personally was not interested but the game looks like it's priced right to me.

The average game I play is around 20 hours too, but that's cos I consciously avoid the kind of games these days that have 4 hour campaigns and multiplayer where you can see practically everything there is to see in an hour.

If CT doesn't do it for you, that's cool. Me, I'm 2/3 of the way through and its already more than justified its price to me.

It would be a terrible idea as DLC. People would be expecting something like 3D World. And Captain Toad really isn't like it. Its not like how MK8 DLC is based on the game or how SLU follows the same ideas as NSMBU. Yes Captain Toad levels are a part of the game, but not the main part of the game.

I bought it day 1 off the eshop and I regret nothing. It was the perfect price for the game and it is selling great. Over 100k purchases in Japan. Value for Price has been about perfect. I'm actually hoping for DLC to this game. SM3DW be damned.

Oh some of you... cheep.

I am OK with the price but of course anything cheaper would be better.
