It's a beta, ok... there's 11 months for the launch, ok... But;
- 720p as resolution even for beta is patetic. To me, this proves that this game, will not have more than 900p.
- having dips, framerate and effects issues in this stage, not good sign. Can be fixed ok, but....
- But to me the most concerning aspect is, even that is a beta, having TEARING in a 720p game is ridiculous.
Xbox fans talked a lot of shit about Uncharted 4, but now, what you all have to talk. Your best game and proud hope is not having good beggining, right...

Errrr 11 months is more time than goes into each yearly battlefield game or Fifa from the very start, do you really think they come out exactly the way they run and look before production begins?

Damn Battlefield 4 launched in a Beta state and took another few months to get to a point where it was almost considered ready to release, being 11 months from launch and having a next gen engine that mostly works is a great place to be for 343 for a smooth unbroken launch of Halo 5.

I agree his comment is silly (for several reasons), but games like battlefield don't take less than 11 months to make :p They usually have multiple teams working on 2 to 3 year development cycles to allow a yearly release. It has the added benefit of speeding up overall development time, since the teams can swap around assets and staff depending what the others need (such as ND's Team 1 jumping over to help Team 2 with UC4 while their next title is in early production). In some instance (such as COD) they cycle through actual developers.

I don't know about sports games like FIFA though.

So what's the Halo 5 final review score?

It would be hilarious if they used the same technique as in KZ.

It would be I'd be pretty happy if they did though. The technique respires a lot of refining, and could do without GG smothering it with motion blur (they seem to really like that in their MP...), but the technique itself was pretty interesting. I'd love to see more developers have a go at it.

Yeah, I was actually really amazed when I first heard of it. I wish this would be employed on as many games as possible to reach the magical 1080p60. Would like to see something like that on PC as well.

well they dont lie for the fanboys, halos gamelay is meh at best. to slow, to simple mapdesign, a meh story with meh characters. nothing special... change we need...

You never played Halo MP... The gameplay is quite fast paced. Especially in the Halo 5 beta... -__-

i played halo mp, all of them, but i played good fs for years, and aginst tribes, quake and ut, halo is just a meh game, to slow, to boring gamemodes, to lame weapons..

Deary me, the close to 2million people who bought the MMC in the past 2 months would disagree with you... in fact myself as someone who hasn't moved onto the X1 but have played through from Reach > 4 would definately have to presume you didn't do the same when you call it a "meh story" Even Halo4 who's gameplay was slightly limited by the 360s aging hardware (not a fan of locking doors behind you each room) had one of the best sci fi finales that I've encountered in gaming or movies.

[Also the word is Too! I know you're German but to and too are two seperate words with different meanings :) if you go to the shops it has 1 o in it, if something has Too much explosives it has oo.]

well its not battlefield earth, but it isnt a high class sci fi story. futuristic, yes, but no good scifi. and yes its hard for a german, i know too and to are two different words, but its not that easy while tipping because we have use a lot of different words for some of the meanings of to and too, but one for some meanings of to and too.

If these were facts you were spouting out then Halo wouldn't have made it to be one of the biggest exclusives ever and to the top tier for futuristic fps.

Wouldn't hurt to say IMO. You're just trying to get people pissed.

transformers is one of the biggest boxoffice hits, and cod is the best selling fps atm, and both are bad, realy bad. halo is easyly better than both, story telling isnt bad in halo(like it is in cod) but the story itself just isnt that good. scifi is more than just shooting with lazors and flying in spaceships, its a very deep and philosophical genre, and halo just isnt good scifi

Then I'm gonna go ahead and say you haven't read the novels or comics. Or paid attention to the terminals.

The terminals are in the game. And what should it matter if its in game or not. You said "Halo just isn't good sci-fi". I beg to differ.

Well I think you really should consider adding the (imo) when talking about some games tho, since like it's been said Halo is a huge franchise because the characters and story are massive, the X360 got off to a great start because people wanted to "Finish the fight" started in Halo2 that was left on a huge cliff hanger. Think MS were gunning to do the same with Halo5 on the X1 considering that H4 on the X360 was the begining of the second trilogy.

As for call of duty and transformers selling loads but being bad.. well people love action movies and action games, they may not be your thing but there is a huge market for um of people who love that kinda stuff.
