Sales must be lower than expected. I got promotion emails from both Amazon and BestBuy for the AC Bundle. I've never bought anything Xbox related from either.

You got that too huh?  I even bought my Xbox One from Amazon, I found it strange.

Amazon really should add the PS4/Last of Us bundle option/image for 399 now.

The important question is,will PS3 win january against 360?

That did happen last year. No idea about this one.

MS I assume paid these companies to send that letter out. Probably to help promote the new sale price.

That was expected for January... NPD will be doom for MS like last year.

What gap do you expect? I'm only expecting it to be around 40k but others think it's going to be bigger. I have to say though that I forgot about the period of time the XB1 went up in price.

I will say 80k.

I don't know if the ps4 can do more than 100k than Xone, but it would be great for the ps4 if she did something like that.

Sony will no doubt put out The Order and Bloodborne bundles, but they'' most likely be priced at $450.

Sony hasn't really given away free games barring the GTAV+TLOU Black Friday bundle which was only $400 on Black Friday and closer to $500 after that, and TLOU that comes with PS4s right now.

Microsoft on the other hand has been giving away newly released games away for free with XB1s since Titanfall last year.

Yeah, The Order Bundle is already up for pre-order in Europe.

Though it's listed as $429 in the particular store I checked. Not quite as high as $450, but still not giving it away for free.
But it'll probably be $450 commonly in America.

Will be very interesting to see what happens on the Amazon charts when it comes out.
Personally I'm not interested in the game, but I know a lot of people are.

Also the claim that Sony hasn't given away games isn't quite true. I bought the inFamous bundle for the PS4's launch price, which means I got inFamous for free. Seems like Sony is willing to give away 1st party new release games for free. Whether they will with The Order or not is a different matter. But it is good so far that they seem to be charging people at least 50% of the normal price of a game for the bundle.

It could actually be Sony themselves. Most people buying a PS4 from Amazon are clearly just buying it because it's a PS4. Perhaps Sony realised that TLOU is something they can keep hidden until they need to help boost sales again. Then they could ask Amazon to replace the picture.

It's actually because it's only Amazon who is offering the free TLOUR download code. 3rd parties are not [all] offering it so Amazon needs to make damned sure prospective buyers of 3rd party PS4s are not duped into thinking they're going to get a digital copy of TLOUR from the cheaper 3rd aprty vendor.

Xb one back in top 20 now.

I think the NPD win will go to Sony but the gap won't be all that big. But merely winning NPD with half the month Xb one being $50 cheaper would be quite the achievement. Winning by an average of 10K per week would be quite huge, though perhaps not for the weeks that Xb one was $399 at most retailers.

Yeah, actually I didn't know what to make of that, because at least in Europe I know they have done that for several games.
Destiny, Drive Club, Fifa, off the top of my head.

Destiny wasn't free at launch though was it? It would be unusual (and rather more expensive than Sony can really afford) for Sony to give away a 3rd party game at launch. After a few months as a special deal perhaps, yes.

inFAMOUS bundle did not include the game for free, neither did the Destiny bundle, or even TLOU:R bundle when it came out.

IDK about europe, but as far as US goes we've always had the price of the game added onto the console for every bundle except the Black Friday bundle.
