Do you thing AI could help the world and the people in it solving the biggest problems we've ever had or do you think it'll bring on the end of the human race. It's a pretty controvercial subject now with some people like Stephen Hawking and Elong Musk (creator of Paypal, Space-X, Tesla cars) thinking AI would be the end of humanity.

Knowing humans anytime there a question of what, where, when, how, why we always seem to want to find that answer regardless of the consequences. I'm with AI  and I believe it'll help solve so much of the worlds problems and with be the next evolution for humans. There's only one way of knowing whether this would be a bad idea or not.

So are you with out against AI?

I'm somewhere in the middle. I think to an extent it can be amazing and change a lot of lives but at the same time we'll always want to push the boundary between man and machine which could be really fucking dangerous.

Can you give us an example of AI that would help humanity as you've suggested?

I'm against AI that can learn on their own.  They wouldn't have the same restrictions that humans have.

I am with AI provided there are plenty of rules in place to prevent them from doing and learning bad things! Heck, if done right, AI + some other things would make the best virtual sex experience ever!

I believe AI's will play an important role in our lives going forwards, but i can understand the hesitance many feel towards them. AI built with specific functions can be incredibly useful, but one with no limitations on how much it can learn, and given free reign to do with that knowledge as it pleases, would be absolutely terrifying.

So providing it's heavily regulated, and any "super" AI we build are made to accomplish specific tasks and are kept isolated, i'm definitely pro AI.

AI is as good or bad what HUMANS make out of it. Just another tool in our chest of evolution.

Don't mix up your EGO with your SELF. 

Your ego might be threatened by something outsmarting you.

Your self just laughs about that.

In sci-fi we've seen both good and bad AI.

Cortana AI = Good
Hal 9000 AI = Bad

I guess it's a matter of whether the reward outweighs the risk or vice versa. Is developing something like Hal 9000 worth it if we develop something like Cortana later on? I'd say yes.
