Anyhow heres what I thought about the sales of the current generation of video game consoles thus far:
X360 : I am quite impressed, I was expecting the X360 sales to actually drop of my prediction. Though it stayed far above my expectations, as I was expecting for it to only hit 17 million on march 10th, and it hit that number by mid febraury. Also I was quite suprised with the X360 in North America, the console sold much more than expected(by me) although it got outsold by PS3 in february(according to vgchartz) and in january(according to NPD). So far my expectation is that the X360 3 will stay above 150,000 World wide for the entire month of march due to recent events.
PS3 The rival of the Xbox360 has done a great job selling in North america. Though I wont say much but that I dont believe sony ever had shortages. I believe that they said this as in excuse for high sales. The PS3 is doing as I expected, and I expect the console to continue selling signficantly higer than the Xbox360 in both OTHERS and JAPAN for the remainder of the year.
WII: The wii is what people call a gimick. Hey wait.. wasnt the internet a gimmick? Anyhow lets not get off topic. Wii is leading console sales for this GEN by records. Its sold much higher than my expectations, and if this trend continues the system may hit higher than my expectations for this year, also the past month its sold over 200,000 units weekly which I must say is impressive. I expect the wii to stay like this the whole year.. Good job nintendo, you deserve what you are getting.
I also blame Wii fit and Fkusumot for the success
