I wonder how much of that is actually true. The huffington post blogs anything that makes cops look bad or anything to do with race.

Why is there a quota to begin with? This ensures corruption. Why would anyone allow this? It makes no sense and really destroys the trust that is supposed to exist between law enforcement and the community.

It is a system that seems doomed to fail. And it's sad because all they are doing is supply the prison industrial complex with bodies that everyone else must fund with taxes.

So everyone gets fucked, taxpayers get robbed, lives get ruined and no one is treating real drug abuse for what it really is: a health issue.

Such tragic failure across the board.

End the war on drugs, get hardcore users help through the ACA, reduce the population of non violent offenders and stop forcing taxpayers to fund this failed corrupt institution.

Gosh, I hate corrupted cops...

That doesn't make any of it less true though. And no one is saying that there aren't good cops. No, there are far more good cops than bad ones. But some people will treat all law enforcement officers like the greatest people on the planet even when one exhibits horrible behavior. This is why I'm so torn when it comes to all of this pro/anti law enforcement stuff that's going on. Yesterday here in West Palm Beach, Florida we had 2 opposing sides marching in the downtown metropolitan area.

The local news interviewed people from both sides and they both had intelligent (and no so intelligent) arguments. There was a guy on the pro-cops side who said that officers have a dangerous job and second guessing can cost them their lives. Then there was some racist prick who basically said that if blacks weren't always up to no good they'd not always be shot by cops. On the flip side, there was a guy who labeled all cops as terrible racists and that "serve and protect" is all bullsh*t. Then there was a lady who was probably the most nuanced of all the interviewees. She stated that she doesn't like that the opposite group is being labeled as "pro law enforcement" because it makes her group seem like they're anti law enforcement. She said that we need cops and most cops aren't bad cops. But when a bad cop does do something bad people shouldn't always assume it's impossible for him to do so just because he's a cop. She stated that there was been people from all walks who've been entrusted to do good and have done the opposite.

That's the truth! So yes, I'm sure that this article has some truth to it. After all, the 3 most corrupt police departments in America are 1) New Orleans 2) NYPD and 3) LAPD. 

I'm not saying that there's no corruption within the police forces but the news as of late has been nonstop focusing on the riots and anti-cop protests. So if anything or anyone says anything at all about cops, regardless how credible it is, they'll report it as fact. Because it's big news or click bait. I trust the cops just as much as I do the news or politicians but they are the only ones putting themselves in harm's way to protect people from themselves or their neighbors. 

From my experience with cops, if you're polite to them and do as you are asked, you'll walk away with no tickets or won't be in any kind of trouble. There's a good chance, they'll let you go. 

If they catch you in the act or you're guilty of whatever it is they are arresting you for, don't act like a dick to 'em or try to get out of it by feigning racism or what not. Above all else, don't resist arrest because you are escalating the situation and allowing them to be rougher with you. Honestly, in almost everyone one of those "cop shooting someone", the person resisted arrest and escalated what a cop is allowed to do with 'em. 

Cops shouldn't have to fulfill any kind of quota and if a cop is found guilty of corruption, make an example out of 'em and put him in prison for 50 years with the other criminals.  

The cops are not corrupt by doing this its the system requiring quotas.

If you feared loosing your job because you did not meet a quota then you bend the rules too.

That doesn't make it right.  They could have done things to change the way things are handled, instead of going along with a flawed system, obviously.

When you have bills to pay and a family to support it isn't that easy. Job stability for people is important. Fear of loosing a job will change a man.

Hundreds of thousands of cops and a few bad eggs results in lots of hate for all cops. Meanwhile, politicians make a fool out of all of us and the majority of people love half of them. Human beings are so dumb.
