Forums - Sony Discussion - Should Naughty Dog Expand to 3 teams?

its not even clear if they will keep delivering their current quality, a lot of employers have left

Yes they should open a 3rd team and have them work exclusively on the Vita.

It's never bad to expand

Open a tiny studio to keep faith in Sony's handheld platform. Just that, a tiny studio that can make whatever they want under supervision.

I WON A BET AGAINST AZUREN! WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

:3

I feel like a 3rd Naughty Dog team wouldnt really be Naughty Dog, it would just be a team under the ND banner. A team leaching on the name.

Yeah, a small third team would be great!
Bring back Andy Gavin and Jason Rubin, add a pinch of Mark Cerny in there and buy the rights to work on a new Crash Bandicoot!

After all those lay-off? I don't think so, and btw they confirmed that the second team that's working on TLOU 2 / new IP is indeed VERY small and majority of ND devs is working ONLY on Uncharted 4

but I wish they will make an Uncharted collection even for the price of delay of a thief's end

Basically ND is much more lenient developer and people will be circled into the TLOU 2 team once the Uncharted 4 is ready. So the second team is small only at the moment. How do I know? I've seen the videos that explain how things work at ND. But you are right, there's not enough capacity for a third team.

Their strength lies in how everyone is pretty much involved. There isnt really A TEAM that works on ONE game alone. Rather some few lead guys who start pre planning their next project while most of the other people are working on finishing their current project. Then they shift over to their next project when the current one is finished.

So yeah they still will dish out a game every two years just like they did with UC1-UC2 and they only had "one" team then. So yeah, they dont really have *two* teams in that sense.
