I agree.  They might as well do it.  Of course, they should just make a super powerful console that costs them about $1,000 per unit to make.  That way when the sell it for $399, they can at least claim to be the most powerful.  But, maybe it could be cackwords compatible to the 360 and XB1.

The Total power of the CPU is about 80 GFlops I believe. And I think this update is already live with titles such as Ass Creed. The additional CPU core access will allow them to increase performance. Specifically with respect to frame rates. This is a good thing though. I don't think they should be wasting anything on Kinect features. They are squeezing everything they can out of the system early. Graphically, they wont be able to touch the PS4 because of the different GPU, but insuring smooth gameplay is just as if not even more important.

So did it really take half the X1's power to be able to run the background portions of things like fighters destiny? because the difference between 720 and 1080 is around double the number of pixels so it'll take that amount of freed up power to get the two systems running the same sort of games.
