It has some flaws but seeing as I've only recently acquired Smash Bros. it's got a lot of catching up to do before it can surpass the incredible fun I've had with MK8 over the past 6 months.

Two, sort of. It was both the editors' pick on Eurogamer and the user-voted winner. I'm not sure if that's actually happened before, I know last year the editors gave it to Super Mario 3D World but I'm pretty sure the user-voted winner was The Last of Us.

Also, before anyone else accuses EG of being Nintendo-biased, they may have given their GOTY award to a Wii U title two years in a row, but they're the only two times their GOTY has appeared on a Nintendo console at all, and they've been doing these since 1999.

It had some real gems lik Bayo 2, MK8, Alien Isolation, and Tropical Freeze, but yeah, quality releases were few and far between last year, while disappointing letdowns abounded.

Not my game of the year, but certainly deserves. Great fun in short bursts. Shall get the DLC at some point

It deserves it. Great graphics, great gameplay that can't be done on any other console. Love it.

The gameplay can't be done on any other console? I personally think the Classic Controller is the best way to play the game.

Of course, I always speak the truth afterall, even if people don't like hearing it!

- Lazy n poor Battle Mode

- No other variety modes.

- Lazily made character roster.

- Stat balance f'ed up, lightweights are pure garbage again.

- Despite more parts, less maximum possible stat totals.

- Gliding sucks now.

- Fire hopping making outside drift significantly better than inside drift when it was already slighty better.

- Item system heavily favors front running from the get go while making comebacks unlikely, basically anti-Mario Kart.

- No Daisy Hills Remake

And some other stuff I forgot about. Smash is easily better than this game through it's huge amount of content and variety alone!
