Yeah, you only enjoy the hidden gems like How To Train Your Dragon 2...
I'd say that it's deserved.. I think Smash is better, but MK8 is still tons of fun!

No, it had the optional and barely relevant battle mode. That's it.

Deserved. Definitely the best game I've played all year.
It deserves it and there was no competition this year except for 2 other Wii U exclusives.

It is a great game, not the game I have played the most this year but it's together with Smash Bros probably the game I will play for the longest.
Fully deserved. 2 years straight Wii U has had their GOTY. Shows that even without the 3rd party support, there is stuff worth checking out on Wii U.
RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.
Incredibly hard to pick a GOTY for 2014. Was a fairly lackluster year in my opinion.
