Forums - Sony Discussion - Prediction: Uncharted 4 will sell 10 million

i agree. but hey, what you gonna do? lol.

The only scenario in which I could agree with the 'bundled' argument is if a bundle has more than one game. This year we saw some incredible bundles with 3 - 4 games. It would be fair to suggest (in this case) that at least ONE of those games got hyked in sales artificially.

It could happen, which is unfortunate since that entire series is trash.

damn

I mean look, they're ok games, but the praise they get is entirely unwarranted. It really speaks to how games "journalism" and gamer expectations have degraded over the years. A game like this back in the late 90s or early 2000's would've been seen as a mediocre action game.

You're talking pure nonsense. First of all gameplaywise Uncharted is quite evolved, secondary, games in the 90s weren't that advanced and would be seen as mediocre today (with a very few exceptions), and last but not least, there is no reason to pretend that the average quality of games and expectations of gamers back than were higher than today. This is total BS. It appears to be like this because you take only good games that appeared over a long span of time and compare it with a status quo. When infact 99% of the released games in the era were simple and/or crap.

It does make a difference, if it scores a low 70 I guarantee you it will have an impact on sales.

I know it was not in this quote but you think the game will flop and have a low Meta? And you think because it is not innovative that the sales will fall? Why? Why can't a game just be good why does it always have to be innovative with some people? I have been playing Mario for years, COD, Tekken, Madden, NBA 2K, MLB, Pokemon etc and they have done nothing really innovative but they are good solid games so I buy them and continue to play them. hence the reason they have survied so long.

And what is a flop to you? Just so I can be clear on what you are saying.

Edit- Your comments in the thread make you come off as a Nintendo fan. And this is not a shot at nintendo fans I just have seen a few say the nothing new here and no innovation about games on non Nintendo systems comments. Not all....just some Nintendo fans.

Mario constantly innovates, COD is always more of the same and the reason why its score dropped as for the rest I don't play sports game too much. Uncharted was amazing in the first two games, third game was not as good and more of the same, I didn't see anything mind blowing about Uncharted 4, even the graphics doesn't look that amazing. They look good but nothing that screams nextgen is here, just more of the same and I think the reviews will reflect that as well.

So Mario is not more of the same...the goal in the mario games is usually always the same....a  lot of the same enemies and bosses etc. They just change the the skin and add new features. Why is Mario innovative but nothing else? Why does Mario get a pass? A game DOES NOT have to always be innovative to be good I guess is the point I am making. Heck Bayonetta 2 WAS NOT innovative but it scored very well....I guess your logic just confuses me because it only seems to eb directed at non Nintendo games which just seems weird I guess.

Mario changes the way you play the game with innovative levels that changes the whole game. Uncharted, not so much, more of the same climbing and cinematics etc. Just look at Mario Galaxy, then 3D World, they are very different games.

Different games with the same core concept just a different way of going about it. Heck I could use your argument and say in Mario Galaxy and 3D world more of the same jumping on turtles, getting mushrooms, saving a princess , shooting firebllas etc. Still doesn't change the fact that both are good fun games. Not innovative or bringing something new or never done just doing what they do at the core better than any other game out there which IMO is a great thing. But anyway this is WAY off topic and I do not want to derail the thread any further....but a good conversation none the less just a difference in our views!

No.

Well I hope for the best from Uncharted 4, I really loved the first two, the third one kinda lost the magic for me.
