Disgaea D2 can still make it across, though.

I wonder if Gust are going to have to start announcing this for the next Atelier game too, since they've all come across as Plus versions too. It certainly does a lot to hurt consumer confidence in the original versions.

Also, please go back to developing more traditional & strategy RPG's, NIS.

You have to remember this is NIS we're talking about They use a fork, 2 bananas and a mouse named Garry to optimize their games.

In fairness though, D5 is a pretty significant jump for them.



The same game, of course not, but a vita version (like SSB 3DS and SSBU) yes it is possible and I even think there will be a vita version of this game

I really like his attitude regarding the PS4 push. Very commendable of them to knowingly sacrifice some current sales in order to help the latest console get a foothold. Personally think more devs should be taking this approach.

Honestly, I don't see a reason why they would do a Vita version of the game, as it would need to be worked on from scratch (they have an engine already since they ported D3 and D4 to the system) and have its game mechanics tweaked or even changed. Disgaea 3 on the Vita sold around 240k WW, which isn't too bad, but Disgaea 4 on the Vita only sold half as much. Don't forget that the Vita has been doing poorly in sales pretty much outside of Japan (or some would think it's about dead).

Also, Nintendo is a much bigger company than someone like NIS, with the latter catering to a niche audience.

Well PS3 cant handle Disgaea 5 so I cant see PSV being able too either. Disgaea has some very large sprites, especially when they are going to have 100 on screen at once now. They are only capable of 10 on screen at once if it was on PS3, so yeah fat chance Vita could manage.

They had every intention to make it PS4 exclusive from the outset it seems. I do wonder what features the PS4 really allowed because the game looks the same as all the last few graphically. Probably uncompressed assets which look more or less the same the compressed versions lol

Man, Japanese third parties really are behind Sony. Square Enix said the same thing about aiding PS4's install base with Type 0 HD before the release of XV.

If only they had put so much effort in saving Wii U, lol. XD
