Except if it was stronger,it would have had more third-party help and therefore more games. All of this might have helped the Wii U to dominate the 8th gen.

A Wii U with Shadows of Mordor, Dragon Age Inquisition and Alien Isolation would be hard to resist. Any Nintendo with solid and up to par 3rd prty games would be very hard to resist.
SubiyaCryolite said: Having Miiverse and the OS in its current state at launch would have done wonders. They should have optimized that OS to only use 256MB of RAM so that devs could have 1.75GB to work with from launch. Perhaps then we'd have more ports at the quality of Most Wanted U. Launching with Smash or Kart + WWHD would have really helped. Aside from that I don't think there's nothing else they could have done. If it launched earlier it would be too expensive. If it launched later, lol, no. The timing was right but the advertising, hardware, price and software was just bad. |
I find myself agreeing with you and it scares me.
Should've released as a digital platform on PC.

Am i the only one that thinks if they made the Wii U stronger, 3rd party support would still be thin. There would be the old Mature games dont sell to the Nintendo crowd excuse. Nintendo just need to expand and start revising their expansive list of IPs., those alone could create a very expansive library.
Should have been announcen in 2009 and launched during fall 2010 When Wii sales started to fall.

She better, that Kuvira's a scary woman. What with her domination of the earth kingdom.
@Op
Back in 2009 when Patcher said they should have. D:

Yes and no. The Wii U had a lot of third party games in 2012 and 2013 but support began to wind down because of poor sales. Dragon Age Inquisition is on the PS3 and 360 for example, it hasn even sold so hot on those platforms and yet it skipped the Wii U entirely. Its a shame really.
It is not the power of the console. It released at a good time, the only thing is they didn't pay any attention to the marketing and had no great games (Did have some) but not enough at launch or after launch (till MK8) to keep the sales ignited.
