Jan feb are month with low sales so they wont loose to much going up in price for a couple of month, but they sure will lower the price again in due time.

WHAT?! A holiday deal only lasting till the end of the holiday?! THAT'S UNBELIEVABLE! My god, people... did people actually think -for even a second- that this was going to be permanent? XD That kind of depresses me

Makes me think a holiday sale will be an annual thing. It also makes me certain I will not buy my xbox one except for during a holiday.

Can see them dropping again v soon after.

Not sure why anyone would be happy about prices going up in this industry? Very preculiar.

If MS brings the price back up and keep it up for a long period of time then they're screwed for 2015.

It doesn't look like MS has anything except for Halo 5 for winter of next year which I think sucks for XB1 owners. I'm sure MS will hopefully announce something good at E3 but probably wont release until 2016 at the earliest.

Quantum Break? Tomb Raider? Crackdown 3?

If the price isn't raised as a lot of people say it won't would that constitute false advertising? Or MS will raise it to 350 to avoid problems? We know that at 400 it will be hard to move consoles even with interesting bundles.

I don't care either way, had reserved 250 to buy x360 11 games bundle and Wii 6 games bundle.

something something something market shifts, consumer reactions, other business PR, loophole, something something.

Their lineup for the 2nd half of the year is fine, Halo 5, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Fable Legends, Forza 6 (heavily rumored), Gears Collection (hinted at by a reliable source, Shinobi), Quantum Break. It's the first half of the year where the lineup is inferior to the competition, all they have exclusive wise for the 1st half of the year are Ori, Screamride, and a port of State of Decay, all good exclusives imo but none are as popular as what the competition has, they're going up against 2 AAA blockbusters from Sony in the 1st half of the year, Bloodborne and The Order: 1886. MS needs to be at $350 in Q1 and Q2 more than ever in order to compensate for their inferior exclusive lineup.

Ah I knew I was forgetting some games. Thanks for the update!  Yea it seems PS4 has their games well spread out for 2015 where XB1 is kind of compress into the last half of the year.

I definitely agree with you about the price needing to be at $350 for Q1 & 2.  If the MS raises the price back up as mentioned then it almost feels like buyers should just wait til after E3 to purchase a XB1 as MS will have announce bundles or price cuts etc.

I see it but I just can't believe MS is going to raise the price back up... If they do they are hurting themselves... They just can't compete at the same price as the PS4...

They're already hurting themselves with the discounted price. They've sold more than the ps4 on November and probably a bit in December but they're losing more money at the same time, not that they don't have enough money but a loss is a loss so better to stop it.
