I wish the Wii wasn't such a big record holder. It doesn't deserve it as as much as GameCube did.

Thus, I say if GCN had Wii's success instead, I would want it to keep those records. Now in reality, to answer your question, Yes, I think PS4 can beat Wii.

I would say No because, Technologies are improving fast, and by 2018 who knows what's out there.

I would say Yes because, it will probably release in China, and will probably support at least 10k+ (guessing) each week, and the competition isnt that strong. Especially if Nintendo doesnt do something in Japan ( they will probably release a new console by then)

I would be surprised if it doesnt, sure something could go wrong and it may dip for a week but look what PS3 was capable of doing while being weak in the US. PS4 is much stronger in the US thaen what the PS3 was and its doing just as well in EU. Japan hasnt started well but numbers will pick up next year with a bunch of Japanese centric games finally releasing. Also this is the start of the PS4's life, numbers are usually only up from here for at least another 2-3 years if not more

I think the PS4 will outsell the Wii, due to longevity, it'll last longer. However, I'm not sure that it will sell so many weeks over 100k. 

well its hard to tell because most people who bought a wii werent even gamers while the ps4 is looking like to be the most expensive console of the 3 for the entire generation. But i can see it happening if Sony keeps up their triple AAA titles, china is going well, japan will buy more and more price cuts, the ps4 could do it.

I don't think so, maybe 180 weeks, but that's about it. I believe that PS4 sales will drop after 2 huge and 1 decent year.
