Forums - PC Discussion - GameSpot tried to build a Pc which costs around the same as a console.

In my opinion this attempt shows that PCs cannot compare to consoles in terms of Price to Power ratio.

zzz pc..... zzzz building.....

Console Gaming!

I just cant stare at the same screen that i've been working on all day and play games on it.

PCs cost more than consoles but the cheap games make up for the price. That's literally it. Why's this so hard for some people to understand?

It is a well known law of the universe that you shouldn't try PC if you are unable to throw out at least 1k USD on it, yet people still try to test it. Also I like how these guides always ignore the fact that PS4 comes with a 60$ wireless gamepad, so real price of the console is 340$. And that you need some kind of 3d party security software for PC if you plan to actually buy games and on it.

I waiting for steam os for the ps4 and steam store. >.>

Second hand console games are also extremely cheap, I don't know why some people think that all new console games can only be bought for $60 when one can easily find them second hand for $40.

I would like to see them building $299 PC next year. It wont work. PC and consoles have their pros and cons. This is why they are separate. Plus at the end of the day I would like to play bloodborne which is not available in other system.

Clearly the pre-owned market is too hard for you to understand.

Most old games on consoles are available for less than available on steam, and new games can often be sold for more than you bought them for.
