Iko Uwais is such a badass. Since China has stopped making decent martial arts flicks, I'm glad other people have picked up.

Also, Raid 3 has been green lit and Hollywood has also bought the rights for a Hollywood remake. I hope they use Iko for the remake and not ruin it totally by picking american actor.

Now for worst news.......Hollywood is doing their own The Raid movie. (typical Hollywood...and probably going to have alot more gun action than martial arts)

I am so proud as Indonesian, a lot of western seems like this movie, Pencak Silat actually like Ninjutsu, it's a killer martial arts and tend to assassinate person, it was really useful when Indonesia was still under colonization from Netherlands and Japanese, as u can see Iko Uwais actually a mastered in the Pencak Silat like Bruce Lee with His Jet Kundo.

Nopes. Dredd isn't even close to this.

I'm not a big fan of martial arts, but the style they use in the Raid, combined with the film techniques is awesome to watch.

Cant watch the vid right now on mobile. But when i think of great fighting i instantly think jackie chan. Not just because of great martial arts but the weapons (or things used as weapons), the environments, the originality. So many great ones rumble in the bronx, supercop, drunken master, ...

Now the undisputed 3 redemption is good for action in america but not anywhere near jackie or what some others have put out there.

Personally, I prefer the hand to hand combat stuff much more. It's why I enjoy Raid 1 more than Raid 2. Raid 2 was great but there was too many weapons...Knifes, guns hammers etc. I love the sound and impact of a punch much more than someone just simply stabbing or shooting someone.

The Raid remake is going to disappoint. I'm not even the type of person to write a movie off before seeing it or watching a trailer, but why the hell do they have to remake this movie? They're going to get some big American actors to play the roles and I'm willing to bet the actions scenes will be nowhere near as good as the original Raid.

I just hope the original actors/people who worked on the original Raid get some type of recognition...They deserve it.
