At this point I've accepted its not gonna sell that well, but its kinda good for me cause some the games I buy for it are likely to skyrocket in price, like I know Bayonetta 2 is gonna be worth a lot, hell even Pikmin 3 is starting to rise in price.

Yeah, I think that too, and if the next Nintendo console doesn´t have retrocompatibility, then all the great games and the WiiU are going to become a cult classic on gamers, and its price is going to be higher than now that is "overpriced", it happens when people are too blind that are unable to see greatness of something until the next decade, it happens all the time. (Now everyone thinks Game Cube was an amazing console, yeah, but only a few of us were able to see that on that moment).

Don't feel sorry. You should feel sorry when Nintendo decides to stop supporting it with games.

Despite loving Nintendo games I believe Nintendo deserved this failure. The wii u has a very poor spec easily beaten by ps3 and 360 for cpu performance and Nintendo has tried to charge top money for it. 99% of mulitformat games are sub 360 and PS3 performance and it has an inferior controller. Yes the wii u has a small amount of fantastic exclusives but its not enough to justify its price for most people.

Also many people bought a wii as it was a much hyped product but were ultimately disappointed by it and that would of put many of upgrading.

I own two wii u's but I would struggle to recommend the console to anyone who wasn't into Nintendo games like myself. If they are into seriou driving, rpg, sport or fps games then basically give it a wide berth.

I hope Nintendo realise that low performance consoles at inflated prices is a high risk option now and they need at least for a home console to create something that has competitive performance.

Don't feel sorry, it's selling exactly what it deserves to be selling.

Well a certain competitors console is selling waaaaaaaaaay more than deserved, so I dont see why the WiiU couldnt as well...

I know that the system isn't selling well, especially compared to the other consoles currently on the market but I still enjoy what the console offers me. I hope though that Nintendo sees these bad sales as a learning experience so that they don't make the same mistakes with their next console.

It's definitely a interesting topic worth exploring. However the poll has been done poorly with confusing and unclear options, the title is somewhat patronizing and is not a good summary of the topic at hand, it also seems like the OP only added in content after the thread had already been opened. This has lead to some poor responses already.

Please redo your topic addressing the issues i have raised. This thread will be locked.

There is also a number of threads that are already addressing the long term viability of Nintendo and its consoles. And perhaps this discussion is suited for those threads.
