8 million sales in 2 years and only 3 million this year. Both the Xbox one and ps4 outsold it in 1/2 its lifespan. Personally I only see it lasting till 2016-2017 at best... and maybe the amount of sales the ps4 did in its 1st year... I really want it to do better, at least 1/2 of the xbox one (I'm estimating 70 million lifetime for xbox one and 100 million for ps4) but with almost non-existant 3rd party support, and with its casual market almost vaporized, and the lost patience of even its core fan's, the Wii U just won't do it. Now I'll admit I don't own a Wii U, and I use to hate Nintendo. But seeing a great product like this fail makes me sad :(. Anyway hope this can be turned around, but I think its to late!

I don't. Nothing wrong with the console, just not been selling as well as Nintendo hoped. That won't stop me from enjoying it. People should stop obsessing over sales and enjoy the console they own.

I feel sorry for the WiiU, too..and especially the people that own the WiiU. So many great games to play...and so little time. 2015 is going to be a very hard year to keep up with. Even the death throes that may be 2016 are going to be chock full of goodness, I predict. There's just so many other franchises, even small ones, that will appeal to the very hardcore base that Nintendo has established this gen. It truly has been a love letter from Nintendo to their fans...and no pity should be wasted on either the company nor its products. In some ways I could see this gen of Nintendo's even playing out as a martyr of sorts for an era gone by...and nostalgia holds powerful weight for years to come.
