The mere idea of playing an 80+ hours rpg on a cellphone makes me sick. Even something as simple as a turn-based rpg is awkward to control in a touchscreen, imo.

I personally don't mind it. I can grind levels wherever/whenever I want and just continue the story when I feel like it.

I found this game in the appstore while randomly browsing.

Idolm@aster Shiny Festa Harmonic Score. Most of the songs are really good but it isn't optimized for the iphone 6 so no 1080p yet and It's on the expensive side , $24.99 for 20 songs and I believe it has 1 whole episode.( I skipped the video so I can't confirm it yet).

Currently playing

IOS - Knights of the Old Republic, Monster Hunter Freedom HD and Idolmaster Festa.

Steam-NovisNoah, Uplay-Limpanot, Origins-NovisNoah, PSN-NovisNoah, NNID-NovisNoah

Just played MC5 and the graphics really impressed me. One of the best looking mobile game I played.

It has definitely improved, but it still has a long ways to go. Also, the devaluation of software on mobile continues to be a major issue that holds the medium back.

It's not surprising. There are some pluses with mobile.

The screen quality is generally gorgeous, a modern iPhone or Galaxy has a far, far better screen than the 3DS or even Vita do.

With increasing phablet phones the games are easier to play as there's more screen real estate.

The chipsets in some of these new phones are nothing to scoff at either, the newer chipsets would smoke a Vita and New 3DS head to head (whether or not games actually tap all that power is a different question though, but some are starting to).

If that recent Apple patent for a pop up home button that transforms into a joystick ever happens ... it's largely over for dedicated handhelds IMO. The lack of a directional input is the main thing holding iOS/Android games back, remove that and many new genres of games become far more playable, more than enough to satisfy most people's portable gaming itch.
