Nintendo will be able to use this decreasing gap in technology and graphics between handheld and home consoles to become the ultimate gaming platform. With touch control and classic buttons combined, it will find an audience in all camps.

"Oceanhorn" looks like a poor mans Wind Waker XD games like that are the reason I'll personally never respect the iOS/Android "gamer". A absurdly huge number of games are inferior rip offs of existing games. And then ports with inferior controls. But that Wind Waker rip off is just disgusting. 

No buttons = No play.

Unfortunately, I think mobile gaming has decreased in relevance, due to piles and piles of in-app-purchase-packed shovelware. There are a handful of titles worth playing though including The Room & Infinity Blade trilogies, and the Plants vs Zombies series.

And a poor mans Wind Waker, sure but even Nintendo themselves were OK with making a poor mans Wind Waker with touch only controls and it nearly sold 5m so... yeah =P

OT: They definitely are getting better, the biggest problem is still finding the great games through all the garbage... oh and as an Aussie I just have to complain about so many games not releasing here. Seriously Mistwalker, where the fuck is my Terra Battle?? I was so hyped to play that and we never got it hear -_-

Unfortunately that is true. Even paid games already have in app purchases. I don't mind say extra costumes  but some developers are making games extremely grindy, back then this is only present in f2p games.

Is the room 1 any good? I think The room 2 is currently on sale $0.99, 'm thinking of buying it.

Funny as it is, 2 of the 3 series I mentioned have many in-app purchases. The Room is the white knight of them all.

And yes, The Room is quite the game. Impressive graphics aside, it really draws you in to its compelling gameplay. Music and plotline also make for high production value. The sequel is more of the same, but certainly worth at least 99 cents. ;)

Have not noticed, I only play them when I'm bored out of my mind, stuck somewhere.

IMO developers should release 2 version of the game... 1 is the more expensive but complete game and the other is the free but full of in apps.
