Forums - Nintendo Discussion - What is wrong with Nintendo's online?

I see it quite often on here, people saying that Nintendo's online is garbage but I have never actually seen anyone go into detail about what is so bad about. So can anybody on here enlighten me and explain what makes Nintendo's online such garbage?

It doesn't have as many "extensive" features as psn or xbl such as cloud saves or trophy sync and etc but you get what you pay for which for us is free

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

What's wrong? Nothing, that's why they hate

Nothing. Just no real cloud support yet.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

Many things.. but these are a few I wish they could implement to help feel connected to the world rather than feeling like I'm alone..

- Achievement/Trophy system, to compare with other players and your friends.
- Instant Messaging/Voice messaging, so you can message friends and check back quickly without interrupting the game.
- Party Chat w/ friends, to voice chat with friends while playing games even if you're not playing the same game.

I've never had any issues with it, personally. And it's free. There's no reason for me to dislike it.

So if Nintendo added those things, they could charge $50/year and nobody would mind?

I'm actually shocked that Nintendo doesn't have any of those. I guess because of the local MP focus?

Only if they add free games every month for both Wii U and 3DS.

Ill just give an example, playing SSB on 3DS I constantly got paired up with people from Japan.  I should never have been paired up with ppl so far away when there must have been better matches, which resulted in laggy and borderline unplayable games.
