I'm never immersed by realtime action RPG because the combat looks plain silly (I think you know what I mean, e.g. being able to hit someone even though your sword obviously never hit him, etc.).

There has never been a MAIN Pokémon game on a Nintendo console which invalidates your argument. It would probably sell over 60 million copies combined. Pokémon is easily the biggest franchise in the world held back only by Gamefreak's archaic thinking (and the fact that it's a Nintendo exclusive!).

@Bold That's an issue with collision detection. Modern action RPGs like Dragon Age: Inquisition has that under wraps ...

There doesn't NEED to be a main Pokemon game to get my point across. Pokemon Battle Revolution is a decent representation of a portable franchise to transition to a console. It EVEN had online too but it ended up failing for the most part. There would be a lot of things that would need to change before Pokemon ever hopes to be successful or even sell a fraction of 60 million on consoles. Higher quality graphics, animations, artwork, music, deeper mechanics, and such would need to be accounted for before it's even an acceptable console game but even then a lot of gamers might end up not liking the content ...

Pokémon Battle Revolution didn't feature any new Pokémon and was overall very mediocre. The game scored 53% on metacritic. It was lucky to still sell this much... You're really underestimating the power of Pokémon.

Obviously the game would need better graphics, that's a very redundant thing to say. Besides, Pokémon has deeper mechanics, which you obviously don't seem to understand. Don't worry about it, neither do I... Try battling online, you'll get pummeled if you don't know how to breed the perfect Pokémon.

And no, the combat still looks silly in most modern action RPGs. Collision detection was just one tiny example. Even when you make contact with a weapon, it doesn't look remotely realistic.

Customers haven't been really pleased with mainline FF for a while.

FFXIII was underwhelming but overall I and many people thought it was an improvement over FFXII ...

Now it's spin-off series on the other hand such as FFXIII-2 and Lightning Returns is probably worse than FFX-2 ...

I wouldn't exactly say that the customers haven't been pleased per se but for all the hate it got from the critics part, it also received a decent amount of passion. FFXIII wasn't the game we wanted in the end however, it's the game we needed ...

Why'd you quote Batman?

1. Will Have The Bigger World? (In Actually Traveling Land Size)

Well, since all consoles use discs that fit 25GB per layer, but Xenoblade will use lowe level graphics, it could potentially create a larger world if you look at it that way. (Also depends on how many CG movies are used in the games) But I think it'll just come down to design choice, so I'm not sure.
Traveling by car seems to be an important aspect of FFXV though, and I'm not sure how important traveling with a mech is in X, so if I were to guess, I'll say FFXV.

2. Will Have More A Depth Feel to It? (Talking World, as in Landscapes/Citys/etc)

I haven't played Xenoblade, only the other Xeno games, so it's hard for me to compare fully. But I would guess Xenoblade will, based on the last few FF games.

3. Will Have The Better Combat?

Again, because I haven't played Xenoblade, it would be hard to make a qualified guess. I didn't like the combat system in XIII and XIII-2 (even though it had improvements), but the combat system of XIII-3 seems excelent so far (started playing it recently), and is what it should have been from the start.
Xenogears and Xenosaga had a pretty straightforward combat system (except Xenosaga 2, but in a negative way), but what they did with the mecha battles in Gears and Xeno 3 was really good. And I hear you can manipulate time in Xenoblade. Final Fantasy XV's system looks rather impressive visually, and the teleportation seems fun. But I'm going to guess that X will be better in that department.

4. Will Innovate better Gameplay?

No clue.

5. Will Have the Better Story?

I trust Monolith more in this department than Square. So I'll say X.
Then again, FFXV has been in development for about 10 years, so it's hard to say. But when I see it, I get the FFXIII vibe from it.

6. Will Take Up Most of Gamers time? (Replay value+Longevity)

Without knowing what Xenoblade was like, I'll say the FF games tend to have more content.

7. Will Have The Better Enemy Designs? (pls note this isnt graphically, we all know FFXV wins [X1/PS4])

When it comes to monsters, no idea. When it comes to villains, X.

8. Will Have The Best SideQuest?

Can't recall many good side quests in the Xeno series, or the latest FF games for that matter. But in XIII-3 they're very good, because the whole game revolves around doing NPC side quests, like Majora's Mask. Soo I'll say FFXV here.

9.  Overall Better Game? FFXV/XCX.........

Xenoblade. (Unless FFXV also has the Majora's Mask/XIII-3 system.)

10. Will You Get Day 1?

Probably neither. But X is more likely than XV as a Day 1 purchase.

Just one coment about number 1. XCX isn't using low graphics. and even if it were, that's unrelated to full world size.

We barely know anything about either game so I'll at least wait for the demos before speculating. Especially on things such as longetivity.

It's going to be one of those threads in which nintendo fans will say xcx and rest will likely say ff15, like a proxy console war :P

I don't know, I haven't played them

To be honest I was not that impressed with XCX when they showed it last. I am still planning on buying it however,

Lol at the attempt to cover the fact that this is just a thread to stir the pot.

Anyway, I'm getting both eventually. Xenoblade on day 1, FF XV together with a PS4 when they're cheaper and have games that appeal to me.

Nobody knows which game is "bigger" and "better". Nobody knows how the plot unfolds, etc. Last thing you might know, Persona 5 or even a new Star Ocean turn out to be better games.

THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually this thread is just another FFXV versus XCX.

Since I'm not a fan of JRPGs anymore (not sure if this would count for been not biased even though every person has a bias ...) I'd be willing to wager that FFXV will do almost EVERYTHING better than XCX ...

That does seem biased though^

Why? Not knowing anything about FFXV and/or XCX (im assuming more the latter).

It's pretty easy to make a judgment at a glance. Monolith Soft is a B-tier developer. Square and Level 5 (referring to DQ) are really the only JRPG developers with enough time and money to put the time in to make whatever they want.
