Damn, second time MS have gone out of their way to help Sony this year :P

Does everything always have to be viewed in the context of Sony vs Microsoft?

Overpriced movie to fight communism. Capitalism at its finest.

But $14 to see it in theaters, $20 for DVD, and $25 for Blu Ray is just fine, right?

Yeah, it's a lighthearted comment as well which makes a change.

I just really, really want to know how much they'll make with this, the movie on its own doesn't interest me in the least.

I'd be stunned if they broker even on this whole deal.  They could get two million rentals and still be well into the red.

Quoted. Publicity and money rules. Personally, I still feel that this movie should not have even been made. It's past overrated now that it caused this certain buzz.

LOL no... We are all fully are that it sucks but the point is that here in America we have a thing called Freedom of Speech and will not be bullied by an oppressive dictator.  This is not the Movie of The Year.... but here in America it has the right to exist.   Just as, in America, you have the right to be against it and to speak your mind.

Well, personally I am glad that Microsoft is participating as an American company standing up for us all.  You know, it would be like if Activision got death threats every time they released a COD (which is much more abbrasive than this movie lol).  I mean, imagine, if Russia sent threats after MW2 and North Korea after Black Ops.  So glad to see Microsoft and Google on board to fight these guys.

Surely 6$ isn't overpriced though...

I was just at a friend's house the other night and it cost 20.50$ to rent "annabelle".

Yeah, I'm really just interested in a breakdown of the whole ordeal, how much money did they lose thanks to the hacks and how much are they now making back with the movie.
