If Exclusives where available everywhere would you buy a Console or a PC?

Console 137 50.00%

PC 114 41.61%

See Results 22 8.03%

Total:273

If that happened then I would have no need for a PC. I have PC only for the rare MMO, RTS, or other game that for some strange reason does not come to console.

Personally, I find PC to be an extreamly painful experience. Every time I boot my computer up, I am faced with updating Steam, Origin, the graphics driver, the Skype App, then the games start updating, but only if I open their dedicated app.

For me consoles are the way of the furture. Whether it be a Sony, Microsoft, Apple, Samasung, Nintendo, etc. A dedicated chipset, and a streamlined OS is what I want most from a gaming/entertainment/productivity device. I want all updates done in the backgroud, I want one controller that works for every game, and I want one store for all of my digital content (Movies, Music, Television, Games, Books, Productivity apps, etc.).

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

Console. PC is only good for MMO's, FPS and RTS. Cant beat the couch or bed confort otherwise.

I'm sure you could do those with a PC as well ...

Setting up a PC with your Tv while making it a work tool at the same time is complicated, workintensive, cumbersome and potencially pricy. PC games always have issues with compatibilities, viruses, keyloggers, ad-aware, long start-up, crashing browser, etc.

If you want to go through all that work to be able to play games in your couch or bed, be my guest. But, i am sure many cba. Consoles are simple, that is why they are good at what they propose to do.

Console gamer for life...!!!!

Compatibility really isn't an issue and malicious software can be stopped by purchasing some antivirus software or getting one for free ...

Purchasing, extra costs. Lets be honest, it wont protect you 100% because theres always new ones beeing made. Adwares, spywares and keyloggers go right through anti-virus programs.

True but consoles aren't exactly impervious to exploits ether ...

Once a hacker figures out the platform I'm sure they'll launch and distribute viruses too ...

In what must be more than 20 years of gaming, i am yet to see a console virus. With system updates they can be dealt with with minimal hassle from the consumer if they came to be.

For many people is like "oh it´s unconfortable, you can´t play it on your couch with your 48" TV and a good gamepad"O.o WRONG you can, of course you can, is just laziness for changing your mind, actually 95% of the great games of both twins are on PC, yes some of them are poorly optimized, but most of them are just fine, even better and PC has so much more exclusives than Ps4 or One, and of course is so much more than a game console.

So if you can build yourself a good PC, wich is obiously the future of gaming, why would you bother about One or Ps4? The only console worth while nowadays is clearly Wii U, people are just so blind, like they use to, but in a few years they will open their eyes, and consoles like the twins are not going to be needed anymore, i´m pretty sure about it.

I put a finishing touch on my point by quoting Goodnightmoon here.

The reason why what you say will never come to be is because PC's arent trivial to set up, keep protected and get the most out of. Its complicated to build one and it becomes obsolete with time, just like consoles do.

If you are someone that finds those points are not a problem, then a PC is a good option for you. But i can garantee you that the vast majority of people dont have the time, will or patience to deal with those problem, added to the confort issue. Its not just physical confort, its psycological confort.

So, unless something like the steambox manages to make PC's something easy for everyone to deal with, i am afraid your twins are here to stay. Advancement comes from lazyness and money. Lazyness is what drives men and time is the most valuable commodity in the world.

PC's now...

honestly... the amount of time I spend setting up the PC's over a year, is less than the extra amount of time, I'd spend if I was playing those same games on consoles XD.

it IS definitely more expensive, but you get way better loading times, FPS, and image quality. but, I've been building and setting up gaming PC's since I was 10, and it used to be way more difficult it's way easier now. It's not hard. Nor is not getting viruses difficult to do.

I do game on consoles for exclusives (mainly Wii-U), and PS3 for Blu-Ray and some games. (Blu-ray is way more annoying to set up on PC and expensive and ughh...)

Consoles used to have more benefits, because they didn't require system updates everyweek, and games generally worked and didn't need to be patched. Now that's not really the case.

GAMES EVERYWHERE NEED TO BE PATCHED!

Id still only play on consoles since I find PCs have a higher fail rate mechanically, not including all the other crap that can go wrong with PCs.

All my consoles still work, apart from my NES which has limited success, while ive gone through 2 PCs just last console gen.
