Forums - Sales Discussion - PS4 on sale at Walmart for $330!

"Traditionally Black Friday is the best day for sales of the year. However, this year has not been the case and the latest sale at Walmart continues that trend. The PlayStation 4 is currently on sale at Walmart for just $329. That is $70 off MSRP.

The PlayStation 4 is currently in stock, but supplies will more than likely sell out quickly as word of the sale gets out."

Does xbone still have a chance of beating the ps4 in this december's NPD?

Seems this is only for the base console? I'd pay the extra $20 and get the Xbone with two Ass Creed titles.

Having such a low price will have a huge impact. buyers can run over to Gamestop and pick up a $20 used game and be playing a ps4 with a game 4 $350!

It's only Walmart. Also, I don't think Amazon has been wrong yet and from what we can see from it so far shows that XBO should win December NPD.

Well sure you might. But it's a damned sight more enticing that a $399 PS4 with no bundled games.

Or like, pay an extra $30 for TLOUR, and get a good game and a good console.

Versus two good games and a good console for $20 more.

Opinions. Choices.

Does Sony have anything to do with this sale or is it just Walmart taking the hit to attract customers?

It could just be Walmart, but in a vast majority of these cases they get compensated for each unit accounted as sold during the promotion.

10 consoles when promotion started, 2 left after = 8 compensations. When I ran an electronics section there this old bitch in the mornings always did the price change counts even thought I asked her not to and she'd just accept whatever counts the system had. So we routinely had to fix supposed shrink because she'd say like in a situation like this that we had maybe 4 consoles when we really had 8. But since she accepted the price change with an on-hand count of 4, that was all we'd be reimbursed for.

I see. Thanks. If Sony is reimbursing Wally they may be conducting a small test to see what the demand would be in the US for the ps4 @$330.
