Forums - Gaming Discussion - I lost my 700+ HOURS Pokemon X SAVE FILE!!!!

Should I start all over again?

Yes, Pokemon is awesome. 50 26.88%

No, just play something else. 61 32.80%

DONT CARE ABOUT YOU! 75 40.32%

Total:186

That was painful to read, nothing worst then losing a big save file like that, it makes it look like you just wasted 700 hrs of your life or 29 days of your life is now gone, shit.

I've lost my 100 hr Final Fantasy VII file once and then the second time playing I got up to 50 hours, tried this amazing new "gameshark" I got for christmas on it and it wiped ALL my saves for FFVII, I was so mad. I never played FFVII for probably a year or two after that. Hell I get pissed and throw the controller when I lose after an hour of not saving.

I was going to embed this video to make you feel better: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPvZVdHDB4E

I think you will be identified with Gary Coleman in that video. Sadly I don't have the patience anymore to insert these videos properly, sorry people, I failed you...

PS: I'm not a heartless idiot, I am sorry to hear about your loss.

I know that feel bro... I had my old psp working again after i changed the screen that my sis broke. I bought the screen online, took a hell of a time to arrive. Then I carefully opened my psp, made the fix, and started playing Tales of eternia. I had like 50 hours or so, I had a save just before entering the final battle, or, to grind a little more. I was in a trip, and took my psp with me. Then, going back to my town, after grinding a little more while i was in the bus, i forgot my PSP there. And i just realized as I was taking out the charger from my backpack, that it wasnt there... Saddest feeling evah. It was a Fat PSP that i had bought the day it came out. Now i have a psp-3000 but its not the same...

That sucks!
I know how it feels. Last year, I lost my Pokemon Sapphire's save file, and it had over a thousand hours put into it throughout the years (The game said 999:99), It had events like the 10ANIV Jirachi and Entei, and a Deoxys that was traded to me. Not to mention the countless of other events and memories it had like my very first starter...
That still burns ):

Find your 4GB memory card.

It's your best shot at it,.

This is the only possible solution, I think. Apparently there´s some kind of information the 3ds links to the card, so much that the 3ds manual says that it´s mandatory to copy all the content of the card when changing it for a new one. Content saved on the previous card won´t work anymore once the new card is inserted and used in the system.

In this sense, Pokemon Bank helps a lot. Also a security data save is available on the configurations menu of the system. That may help also

(not trying to make fun of the situation, but...) wow, 999:99? That must have been a really hard number to obtain.

It's not as hard as you think. Pokemon Sapphire was my only game for like a year XD
Plus, I've had the game from 2004 to 2013 and I played it a lot.

You probably hacked or broke your game to register 99 minutes yet it's not that hard? Come on.

OH, LOL! I meant 999:59, can't believe I didn't notice that.

That's harsh, man. I have some spare 5IV breedjects and extras I could gladly give you to help you get started out again, and I could breed anything else for you with my 6IV Ditto. I just got back into Pokemon a few months ago after a seven-year hiatus, and I've put in almost 400 hours of amassing a collection on the save file (not counting all the other hours I've spent on message boards begging and haggling for deals). I would be ready to bang my head against a wall.

My Sapphire is clocked at 999:59 too, I played the crap out of it for three straight years. Most of that time was spent grinding away to level 100 to be able to compete in the Battle Tower, or just leaving the game turned on while driving or at work, lol.

6 IV is a thing?
