Forums - Sales Discussion - Will the X1 outsell the PS4 by more in December NPD than it did in November?

Currently? Okay, let us just forget about the past year then, that seems logic. Personally I know which one I want LTD > 6 weeks.

You are assuming. But it was wrong of me to come here to let off steam. I am sorry. I have nothing against Xbox One.

I will no longer comment in this thread since (obviously) I am not contributing. :)

Nobody is forgetting about it, but given the circumstances have barely changed, the sales of the last 6 weeks have more bearing on the next 4 weeks sales, than the sales that came before it. Again, why are you talking about LTD? That isn't the topic either.

Never said you had anything against XB1. You clearly do about people talking XB1>PS4 (in any aspect ...) tho because your post came out of nowhere, was offtopic and unnecessary.

You are right, I am sorry :D

I don't think so. Here's why:
-November X1 had the advantage of a price cut + COD Bundle + Unity Bundle + Halo MCC release + Black Friday.

Obviously December still has the same price and similar promotions and all the same bundles but it doesn't have the same momentum and the PS4 now has some more competitive prices to boot.

TLTR: XB1 had a holiday headstart in November. December is more of an equal playing field with PS4 now also having the holiday boost.

I believe so as well.

Won bet with t3mporary_126 - I correctly predicted that the Wii U's LTD at the end of 2014 would be closer to 9 million than 10 million. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6673287

Fixed that for you. :D

Anyway we dont' really have much data to go on this month. It was extremely obvious that XB1 would win November. Same goes for December but it doesn't seem like the gap will be as big this month. PS4 has been getting much better deals this month than the last so that is a factor we have to consider.

would be suprising if so

total sales should be close to what they were in Nov NPD around 2M for both

in nov ps4 sales where much weaker in the first 2 weeks of the month due to not being as close to the holiday and not having all of holiday SW released aswell as the xb1 getting the price cut

PS4 wont be as crippled for Dec as all weeks should have as many sales as possible compared to its Nov

still think Xb1 will pull the win off as amazon is doing 280 for the assassins creed bundle

                                                                      Play Me

I think the difference will be somewhere between 200k-225k in favor of XBO.

no it wont in nov. x1 was on top 1-3 on amazon while ps4 was in the 20-40 until bf week then it was both in top 5 , this month ps4 and x1 are in top 1-10 so if anything it will be a lower number , meaning x1 might outsell ps4 by 50-100,000 . and also last year x1 outsold ps4 in nov and dec. so nothing new. jan will be a back to normal and ps4 will ouysell x1 again .

I don't see that happening at all anytime soon. Even though the XBox One has a temporary price cut, the PS4 is going to be having big time exclusives coming soon and people will want to buy a PS4 to play those games.

no

xb1 lost last year november by about 250k and only won december by less than 100k
xb1 won this november by ~400k
and will win december by 250-500k
