While I agree for the most part, a small child has no faith or ability to understand the implications of having their genitals mutilated at their age. I also suspect that you were not circumsized for medical reasons and your parents lied to you.

Errr, no, I was born with a hypospadius. Word-from-the-wise, don't Google that whilst eating.

Interesting thread, I wasn't aware that men had to sign up to be drafted before they were allowed to vote in the states, that is nuts.

Very strange with the thoughts on abortion, while it's true that if the father wants to have the kid and the mom doesn't there is nothing in the law to stop her from just going and getting it terminated, if it was the other way around and the dad wanted the kid aborted against the mothers wises there would be outrage.

Some of these things will generations to change really, at the moment when there is talk of gender equality it's people talking about the far more important topics... like princess peach being rescued by Mario! that stuff needs to stop long before we worry about trivial things like being drafted to war and equal rights over children.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

The argument isn't (or, hopefully not), that men should be allowed to force women into abortions, that's barbaric. But if women are allowed to absolve themselves from legal responsibility, then men should be able to, too (ie, not be considered the "father" anymore).

Just out of curiousity, you don't think if we had more media that shows women rescuing men such as Peach saving Mario that our perception on the draft voting arrangement would change?

This is nothing. In Brazil, if you don't sign for draft, you can neither go to college or have an oficial job (that counts for job years before retirement and has working rights).

Men only and it's in the top 3 of most pathetic things I know.

I'm sorry but this is a load of crap. None of these are actually true. Woman have been added to the draft since they were allowed to be full members of the military. There is not really an exact equivalent to male circumcision for woman, men have it removed because it's a useless flap of skin that can cause the build up of bacteria and cause infection. Unless you are talking about the Muslim world where they cut off the entire clitoris which would be exactly the same as removing the entire tip of the penis from the shaft so that is rightfully considered monstrous. The closest thing to male circumcision would be that some woman are born with enlarged clitorises and some parents at birth just like with males have an option to have it reduced in size(but not entirely removed) which is a more complex operation. Or they can wait until they are an adult. Hell tons of woman have cosmetic surgery on their vagina's all the time and not only is not not considered monstrous, it's encouraged and is a billion dollar industry in California alone.

Men have just as much right and control over the life of a child as the woman. Granted the man can't exactly choose to have the child terminated early in birth because it is the woman's body, and the fetus is nothing more than a body part until it forms into a human. After birth however both parents have equal rights, at least here in Ohio and most places in the US. May be different some places in the south but for the most part its based on if both are legal age and finances and not gender. Take my cousin for example he just just turned 18 and his girlfriend was just about to turn 17 and got pregnant when they were both minors . His family was also considerably richer and when it came time to decide custody they did not even ask the mother, he got custody by default. There are also tons of examples of adult couples where men get custody and deciding power because the mother is deemed unfit. There are tons of examples of mothers abandoning the family/children and being forced to pay support and there are countless examples of father abandoning their family with absolutely no legal recourse taken against them. So that's complete bullshit. Much like the right to "rape" the fact that 2 mil men reported they were raped proves that men have just as much right to claim rape as woman. The only thing that statistic proves is that woman are raped a huge amount more which is accurate. This is some hilariously bad propaganda and general bullshit.

If that was the case a lot of men would absolve themselves. Last time I checked, men aren't the ones who have to go to the hospital, men aren't the ones that have to stop working and men aren't the one whos dietary requirements went up. I would be curious for you to come up with a law that would protect everyone in this situation in every possible manner.  You are already absolved of so much already. If you really want men to be able to walk away if they so desire then come up with a way that men can get pregnant instead. By the way women don't just absolve themselves from legal responsibility,  they absolve all those involved whether it be by abortion or adoption, men don't have to continually support those children.

Because 82% of mothers chose custody. What's the % of fathers that simply abandoned their families around that time? It's probably the same. like it or not but 17% is still a lot of people. It's propaganda bullshit. If men really didn't have the right then that number would be 0%  You are looking at 1 statistic out of context and without considering other relevant statistics. It's propaganda 101 and complete bullshit.
