It's a bit convoluted, it spans all 3 games and the ending is absolute JRPG goodness with a mindblowing revelation.

All in all pretty good and standard Final Fantasy fare. Dat ending tho.

The story of FFXIII is all that is in question here. I don't base FFXs story on FFX and X-2 along side each other. FFXIII's story, no matter how good you think it was, was badly told.

Hmm, pie.

I depise that game and it's sequels. It's an rpg that's not really an rpg. There's no town, shops, inns to explore. The so called game world is utterly empty. There's not many characters. It's more linear than a typical FPS game. That's just the gripes I had with it that I can remember.

You're better off buying the game used, give it a couple of days and if you don't like it, take it back for full credit.

I've heard a lot of bad things about FFXIII, but mainly about it's  gameplay. I've also heard a lot of people say the story sucks. But I've also heard peoppeople say Kingdom Hearts story sucks. And I love the story in that. So plain and simple, how is FFXIIIs story?

The story is not good. The characterization is fine, but the development is shallow. The plot holds together, but it's slow and contrived. There are some interesting, even inspired ideas, but they're communicated poorly.

In sum, it functions, but it's not enjoyable.

Likewise, the story of Kingdom Hearts isn't good, but for somewhat different reason. The disney-themed side-stories are too shallow and insubstantial to stand on their own, while the overarching narrative doesn't get enough space to accomplish anything worthwhile. It has its moments, but as a whole it simply does not work.

I believe in honesty, civility, generosity, practicality, and impartiality.

It's the most divisive thing I've ever seen. I didn't read the thread, but I can only assume you had 5 people saying it's god and another 5 saying it's bad.

Personally, I really enjoyed it.The lore, the character development... But the best advice I can give if you're curious, is to play it yourself. It is kinda confusing and overwhelming, I can tell you that. But it's possible for you to enjoy it, so... just play the game really.

Good, it has some great and deep meanings. The plot loses focus at certain points in the game. Some parts are badly presented. It could have been much better. But it is still good.

As for the characters, they are diverse as you would expect from most Jrpg. I didn't find any character exceptionally special or impactful but they are alright. Some of them might be annoying for some, but so are people in life. You can't relate to everyone. You can, however, try to understand them.

By the way, Kh BBS story is the best story I have ever experienced in a video game, it struck me the way it explored the depth of human heart.

It's... Very complicated, not bad, but very complicated.

Forgive me, good sir, but your whole post sounds exactly like the third line in it "annoying little brat"

I mean no harm, but that's how the post sound to me. I find that to be ironic. I hope you don't get angry
