So 3DS stands at 47.9m, 2.1m to go before it hits the big 50.

If we look at the rises and drops 3DS experienced each week going forward this time last year, the next 4 weeks should see 2.265m 3DS's sold.


Meaning it'll surpass 50m by 165k.

But is 3DS overtracked (as has been the case lately)? Will it slide down/rise lower % wise this year?

Is 3DS Overtracked now? Thought it hit heavy adjustments early this year since overtracked by about 1mil. I could of sworn i saw 3ds shipment > sold now

Edit: Not saying its undertracked or spot on but traking has been very good all year in the US, and i think Europe might be ok

Japan sales seem to do well around New Years -- that should give 3DS an extra push. New 3ds helps those prospects out too.

Interesting, can only trace back to 1998 but this will be first time (since at least then) that Nintendo has sold under 10m handhelds in a year.
