WRPGs have stepped up their game so much for me in the past 6 years of so. Fallout. Oblivion/Skyrim, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, SP: Stick of truth, etc. Really kicking JRPGs to the curve as of recently.

Crusader Kings 2 (heeey! It's kind of a strategy RPG game ^^)

As you can see, I kinda stretched the genre quite a bit in my third choice there ^^
