Sometimes the fan made games are almost as good if not as good or better than the games in the main series, most fan made games I have played are pokemon ones but my personal favorite one is super smash flash v2. Whats yours?

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

Some of my favorites are Super Smash Flash 2, Metal Gear Solid 2D: Sensible, A Koopa's Revenge, Mega Man Polarity, Metroid: AM2R, and several others.
Go play all these, they rock!
(And Metal Gear Solid 2D: Sensible was actually programmed for the GBA, You can play it using an emulator or on your GBA/DS using a flashcart, It isn't much, but I found it pretty cool).

I think i played a link to the past or Batman DOOM mod back in 90s.... And there is Dragon Ball Z mod for Quake 3 Arena or Half-Life.
