The only way FF6 wins is if this site has a heavy Nintendo bias... which it does.

Maybe Zelda?
FInal Fantasy VI seems to be the trendy choice lately. Same with the sudden popularity of Majora's Mask. Very weird to say the least. Final Fantasy VII is one of the best games of all time, much less JRPG and Final Fantasy game.
What FFVI did better :
-OST
-Story
-Characters
What FFVII did better :
-It's 3D !!!

You and me both. I was just at a Final Fantasy concert and I've been doing nothing but listenning to said concert's soundtrack.

Maybe between Windwaker, SS, OoT and MM. But past those, not really. And the discussions usually only go so far as gameplay or maybe the timeline.
OoT and FF7 are the most popular ones out of those series and they seem to be the ones getting beefed on or ignored in these recent years.
Like someone else said recently, it's a trendy thing. Not saying it's a wrong opinion or whatever, but a trend is a trend. They come and go.
FFVII. I like FFVII a whole lot more.

Or maybe it's simply due to the widespread opinion that the 4th gen has aged better than the 5th.
If you ask me, it's only PS1 nostalgia that has FF7 placed in such high regard. (And this is from a guy who loves the PS1)

Knowing this site and all the proxy voting, it's safe to say it has very little to do with opinion.
