For a laptop, thats really good IMO. Should play all games and demanding ones at least medium settings

Mine: Laptop

Intel Core i5 3210 (2.5Ghz)

8gb Ram

Geforce GT 640M LE (1gb DDR5)

750GB HDD

Windows 7 (x64)

For some odd reason when i play a heavy game like crysis 3, it heavily drops in frames after a short period of time then goes back up periodically. Had to use EVGA Precision to forcefully limit the frames to stabilize the games

^^ Shogun, to test things, try setting the game to absolutely minimal settings. If it still jumps around, you have some CPU throttling issue. Minimum settings do almost nothing in terms of lowering CPU load (like less than 1%), but will dramatically lower GPU load.

If it runs smooth with minimal settings, then you can try updating drivers + different combinations of settings to try to find a happy medium. For lower-end GPUs like that 1GB LE card, I generally like to go with :

Medium or high textures (depending on game, 'high' sometimes needs 2GB+ these days)
Low shadows
AA off
HBAO disabled

It will still look pretty good, as the most noticeable thing in graphics is the textures. AA is nice, but in motion it's less noticeable to have some jaggies, so the huge performance penalty isn't worth it if you're talking AA off = 55FPS, and MSAA on = 25FPS (which is pretty average with a 1GB card).

Core 2 Duo at 2.16 GHz, 4GB RAM.

See my sig. My 7970 is an old workhorse that goes toe to toe with a stock 780 when overclocked!

Going to upgrade the GPU soon since I upgraded my processor last year from an i5 to i7. I may get a 980 but I am worried if Nvidia reveals a new graphics card soon. The 680 is still good though, runs every latest game at ultra @ 1080p 60fps >:)

Intel Core i7 - 3770k Quad Processor @ 3.5 GHz

Nvidia Gtx 680 MSI Lightning edition

8gb Ram

1 TB HDD

Windows 8.1

Since late 2011

Intel Core i3 2120 3.3Ghz
8GB RAM
Nvidia GTX550Ti
1TB HDD

Since I mainly game on console, I have been hesitant on upgrading. I'm currently only considering getting an SSD and maybe the Nvidia 960 when it drops.
