Harada: Pokken Tournament has strict guidelines / sequels are a possibility

From FW's twitter: https://mobile.twitter.com/Flying_Wonkey

From Harada's Interview in Korea.

Are there any constraints on the devlopment of Pokken? "There's a really strict guideline"

"There's a huge fan base of children for Pokemon to appeal to. But supringly the idea of Pokken was well received."

"We first had the idea of having around 20 pokemon trainers fight each other in the game but that idea was thrown out after 2 seconds"

If Pokken turns out to be good/successful can we see this be a new long term project?

"I feel like this game (Pokken) can always be improved in new installments Having 700 different varieties of Pokemon gives a lot of freedom"

So, will they ever release it on wiiU I wonder cause I would like to see how it does on it! Pokemon X Tekken, never in a million years would I have thought that, that would be a thing

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Everyone knows Nintendo doesn't like money so of course they wont.

Not hyped for this game because we don't know if it will come on Wii U and I'm sorry to say this but it looked like crap. I hope that was a really early build.

And why call it Pokken instead of Pokémon? Use the more famous brand!

I m really hyped for this!It could be the new smash!:P

~Pokken is Pokemon+Tekken. There is no better name than that bro XD. What would you called it then?

~Why wouldn't you think its not coming toWiiU? Where else is it going to go aside from Arcades?

~I dont get why you expect every game to look SUPER-DUPER Amazing? Its not even bad looking, and its under 20% done atm, making the footage extremely early^

It looked like an early PS3 game. Games need to look and play good. Why settle for less?

And I know where the name comes from, but no casual gamer knows what Pokken is. You know what Pokken means in my native language? Smallpox.

This game made me terrified for HD Pokémon games in the future.

This game has also been in development since at least August 2013 (first teaser and name was trademarked).

~I get the play good part, but you still overreact with graphics, it really doesn't look bad. Then again i play games for the gameplay.

~Your making a big deal out of this for no reason, no offense. SSB wasnt named Nintendo AllStars Battle Royal for example and its doing fine^

~Not Gamefreak, and Pokemon will remain on HHs anyway.

~True, i forgot that lol. Did this guy flat out lie?

Super Smash Bros. has the strength of all Nintendo's characters. Pokémon spin-offs have never sold that great compared to Mario spin-offs. And it really did look that bad. I just can't stand playing games I deem ugly.

There are better looking launch games for the PS3 imo. Those are PS2 texture quality.

Here's a Gamecube game for comparison:

The character in the bottom screen is pushing much more detail and actual fur graphics!
