Forums - Sony Discussion - Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed (Vita) coming west in 2015

Hyperdimension Neptunia U, Compile Heart and Tamsoft’s PS Vita action game spin-off of the popular RPG series, is coming to North America and Europe in spring 2015, Idea Factory announced.

Idea Factory International has been on a roll lately. Shortly after launching Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1, the publisher confirmed localizations for both Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2 and Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart for PS Vita, as well as Omega Quintet for PlayStation 4.

The game’s official website will be available here.

Add this to Mk2 and Noire of Neptunia games need to get in 2015.

No clothes destruction in that trailer... I hope IF didn't go on a censoring spree again :/

I wonder how these are selling in the West. They keep coming, so they have to be making some money.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Seeing as how only one Neptunia game has been released under them in the west, I'd say it's pretty difficult to judge.

I think they're making all these decisions on goodwill at the moment.  The brand is already established in the west, but make it well and truly known that it's here to stay (unlike, for example, Tales, which has been all over the place in terms of localizations).

And to be honest, it's nice to have another localization teams who make decisions out of respect for fans rather than just pure money (i.e. like how I feel NISA; Aksys; XSEED work).

But anyway, I think this one might be on the cheaper side for localization.  I hear it's pretty short, especially compared to the RPG's in the series.

I will defend XSeed. They had very frank discussions with the community and took a chance on Senran Kagura series in NA.  A game deemed impossible by so many.  They were concerned with media backlash and the game tanking, and brought it over anyways because fans demanded it.  I cannot speak highly enough about Tom and Brittany in thier passion for Japanese games.
