Sega, Capcom and Konami, many would argue that these 3 Japanese companies are all but a shadow of their former self back in the 80's and 90's.

Withing this time all three companies created a big backlongs of all sorts of awesome series and concepts that we haven't seen done in quite a while.

Some, my question, which of this companies has the best "backlog" of franchises.

Some examples of the top of my head.

Capcom Konami Sega
Megaman (you saw if coming) 2D Castlevania Altered Beast
Viewtiful Joe Rocket Knight/Sparkster Fighting Vipers
Dino Crisis Contra Jet set radio
A lot of fighting series not named Street Fighter Bomberman Skies of Arcadia

I would say Sega but that's only because I have more favourable bias towards them ...

They all pretty much don't have a lot of great franchises in general or even unused ones ...

Good question... but imho it's Capcom. How can you leave an icon like Megaman behind but keep on wasting your money on mobile/F2P games? D=

Well, i would probably say sega. Shining force was my most beloved franchise when i was a kid. I also really enjoyed skies of arcadia and would love to see more of that.

Konami has let the suikoden series die for some reason and i loved that series. They really need to bring that back...

I dont really know of any franchise capcom has that i care about... Maybe breath of fire?? But the only good breath of fire game was three... So i dont really care that much...

Honestly, I dont want to really say that Sega is using Sonic cause man, they havnt made an excellent sonic game in such a long time

Anyway, I say Sega cause what people already said and Shenmue 3 and many others

Gotta go with Sega. I wish theyd hurry up and make Vanquish 2 (yes I know Platinum Games developed it but Sega published it) or Binary Domain 2 ( Highly underrated game that unfortunately got overshadowed by Mass Effect 3).

Definitely Sega. There is so much I'd like to see from Sega like... Shenmue 3.

I don't really care about Capcom unused IPs. The only thing I'd like to see from Konami is more 2D Castlevania games.

I wouldn't say Binary Domain was underrated. It had fantastic story telling but the gameplay was average.

I would also like to see a AAA Phantasy Star game that's not free to play ...

Phantasy Star Online was amazing at the time and I also liked the portable series too ...
