Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Club Nintendo...Kind of sucks

Ive been hearing a lot from angry and disgruntled Nintendo fans that the Club Nintendo subscription is weak.

At least compared to the competition. I'm gonna take a quote from a game near and dear to my heart on this situation.

"Say what you want about Americans but we understand Capitalism. You buy yourself a product and you get what you pay for".

What can Nintendo do to improve the service?

What can they do. Release all the stuff the other places get.

I don't get what the issue is with Club Nintendo... Its a free bonus for buying games on Nintendo platform with no yearly fee... Whats so bad about it?

What do people expect from a free service that gives u more free stuff anyway? I am legit curious :/

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

I'm just pissed that certain stuff doesn't come to NA

I'm in Europe and can't do anything with all my points from games. I've bought a lot and can't even get something decent off it. Nintendo should reward loyal customers who buy lot's of games with an occasional free game... They really do suck in this department.

If I spend €1000 on Nintendo products I could maybe get a Mario pen or something from Club Nintendo. That's why it sucks. I don't even bother registering my games anymore.

I can't even use the eshop because the cards and banks that they recognise are so limited.

It's not a subscription. It's a rewards program. Consumers who buy Nintendo merchandise earn points that can be redeemed for games, posters, figures, and other products.

I was going to spend that money anyway, so all the "free" stuff is gravy.

That being said, I would love more physical rewards.

I could be wrong, but aren't the rewards like Happy Meal toys and stuff mainly for kids?

Same here.

I hoarded 15000 points to get a golden Link+Epona statue with Twilight Princess desgign. And when I wanted to register all my codes 8000 just got useless because Nintendo just removed the ability to register GC and GBA games without notice.
(15000 points is 60 games)

TBH I have neve met a person that owns more NIntendo games than I do and then shit like this happens. How are you supposed to buy anything other than stupid cellphone wallpapers? (that I can download from any random website anyway...)

My codes collect dust or find their way into the trashcan/bin  unless its a "register X number of games to get a free game" or Register OOT3D within the first month to get free OST.

Maybe in Europe? Japan gets stuff like gold nunchuks and CDs, while NA gets posters and VC/eShop games.
