Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Mario Maker: online level sharing seemingly confirmed in iJustine Miyamoto interview

Ripped off of gaf http://m.neogaf.com/showthread.php?t=954262

First time hearing about this from the horse's mouth? At 2:40: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUkU6O4p7Lw

[on playing other people's maps, and online] You'll be able to see what happens when other people play your course, or when you play other peoples courses... there'll be popularity rankings for the most popular courses and things like that... so there's a lot on the community side [that you can use].

I am becoming more and more interested in this.

Hooray! One of my fears has been diminished.

Not to be a buzzkill, but if they didn't have that they'd be quite stupid.

Online level sharing?

One would think this is an obvious functionaliy, since even the Mario vs Donkey Kong DS games had this feature.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

You were really afraid they wouldn't put it in it?

I've never doubted that it would. Making levels is literally the point of the game, rather than just one of the features (like in Smash).

Currently playing:

Bloodbath Paddy Wagon Ultra 9

Buzzkill...........

If it has a Paper Mario art style and adjustable bosses even I might buy it!

It really needs a brand new art style because putting in old art styles can't be that much work right? Especially if they're retro styles that aren't graphically demanding. This game appears to have a 2+ year development cycle.

Thank you Arceus! Online pretty much makes or breaks this type of game. Is now a Day 1 purchase for sure!
